How long does internationlisation take to be indexed correctly

Hi guys
I have had a UK site that has been indexed in Google for some time. Recently we started targeting Ireland and so I created a folder to do this (domain.com/ireland/)
As well as adding an /irland/ folder I created a hreflang sitemap and in Webmaster Tools I specified that .com/ireland/ targets Ireland and .com targets UK. However this was all two weeks ago and Im still not seeing the Irish pages start ranking in Google.ie and was hoping one of you guys would be able to help me out? How long should it take for these pages to start appearing in the relevant country specific search engine?
Deepcrawl states that the Hreflang is correct as well so Im just a bit worried that Ive missed something glaringly obvious!

Thanks guys. I feel quite confident that i have implemented the sitemap correctly (kinda wish i had done it through metas in the head now though as I think it might get indexed quicker this way)!
It a relief that you both say this could take a couple if months the index correctly and yes I will be doing some promotion for it

I've heard anywhere from 2 - 3 weeks to 2 - 3 months.
Remember, though, that connecting pages with an hreflang tag doesn't make the /ireland/ section of the site magically rank as well as the UK part of the site does in the UK. It's a different page and Google will treat it as such, although Google should definitely show the right page for branded searches.
To increase rankings for the /ireland/ section of the site, you need to prove that your Ireland section is as valuable to Irish people as the UK section is to British people. Do some promotions to build links and get some social media buzz going: that'll help you the most in the long run.

Actually, this is pretty hard to answer. I've experienced different timeframes. Some in as short as a week but most took a couple months. It could be dependent on the country or the search term or even the site. That's based on my experience though.

Question about Indexing of /?limit=all
Hi, i've got your SEO Suite Ultimate installed on my site (www.customlogocases.com). I've got a relatively new magento site (around 1 year). We have recently been doing some pr/seo for the category pages, for example /custom-ipad-cases/ But when I search on google, it seems that google has indexed the /custom-ipad-cases/?limit=all This /?limit=all page is one without any links, and only has a PA of 1. Whereas the standard /custom-ipad-cases/ without the /? query has a much higher pa of 20, and a couple of links pointing towards it. So therefore I would want this particular page to be the one that google indexes. And along the same logic, this page really should be able to achieve higher rankings than the /?limit=all page. Is my thinking here correct? Should I disallow all the /? now, even though these are the ones that are indexed, and the others currently are not. I'd be happy to take the hit while it figures it out, because the higher PA pages are what I ultimately am getting links to... Thoughts?

Hreflang doubt use correctly
Hello,I have a question, I want to know which option is best for implementing a multi languages. We have a client whose website will have English and Spanish languages, both languages have the same content but English we focus on the US and UK, and Spanish only for the country Spain, the question arises what is the correct nomenclature we use or would it be the best value.**Option 1:****Option 2:**Or any of the two options is correct What would be the correct ?. Removing index.php
I have question for the community and whether or not this is a good or bad idea. I currently have a Joomla site that displays www.domain.com/index.php in all the URLs with the exception of the home page. I have read that it's better to not have index.php showing in the URL at all. Does it really matter if I have index.php in my URL? I've read that it is a bad practice. I am thinking about installing the sh404SEF component on my site and removing the index.php. However, I rank pretty high for the keywords I want in Google, Bing and Yahoo. All of the URLs that show up in the searches have index.php as part of the URL. Has anyone ever used sh404SEF to remove the index.php and how did you overcome not loosing your search engine links? I don't want an existing search showing www.domain.com/index.php/sales and it not linking to the correct page which would now be www.domain.com/sales. I guess I could insert the proper redirects in the htaccess file. But I was hoping to avoid having every page of my site in the htaccess file for redirecting. Any help or advice appreciated.

Are pages with a canonical tag indexed?
Hello here, here are my questions for you related to the canonical tag: 1. If I put online a new webpage with a canonical tag pointing to a different page, will this new page be indexed by Google and will I be able to find it in the index? 2. Site penality revoked but no movement? how long?
its now more the 30 days since google revoked the manual link penalty and still no movement in the serps I am sitting around position 350 for something I should naturally site on the first several pages.. another thing I wanted to point out, the keyword that I'm ranking 350+ for is my domain name without the .extension ( i.e. .com ) How long should I wait, or have they forgotten to remove the penalty. 301 Redirect - How Long Until Recovery?
How long after one moves a page and sets up the 301s should the site take to regain its previous rankings? Context: i've ported a site to a new framework. Along the way, several high ranked pages needed to have new URLs setup, as well as the site moved from www.domain.com to simply domain.com. About 1 week after the change, the site's traffic went down 70% and has been there for about another 2 weeks. I suppose it could be something about the new framework that is causing problems though according to SEOMoz tools, the new framework is checking out pretty well. I assume the problem is reconciling all those old www inbound links with the new non-www location. It is all 301'd however ... so it should be working, but is not. So my questions are: 1. How long should it take Google to reconcile these changes and put us back to original SERP positions 2. is there something inherently problematic with switching from www to non-www?
