MoZ vs Alexa & Moz vs Google
-
My colleague is continuously arguing with me why i went for Moz and why not for Alexa, He also says when Google is there then why Moz. I tried on my part to convince him but he has his own learning. Can anybody help me make him understand otherwise my job will become hard if he remains doubtful about Moz? Looking for down to earth and an honest feedback. Thanks

Hi Keri,
I agree with your this statement: "Honestly, when people are looking at tools, I almost never hear someone talking about Alexa".

I'm a Moz employee, so I'm biased, but here's some additional information that may help.
Google will give you a lot of your own links -- but not the information about links your competitors have.
For Alexa, I see they have more information now than just traffic info based off their toolbar, but I'm not entirely familiar with all they have to offer. Honestly, when people are looking at tools, I almost never hear someone talking about Alexa. It's usually Raven and other tools for this space.

Accuracy of Moz Keyword Tool
I understand that no search tool is entirely accurate, but I'm seriously beginning to doubt the accuracy of the Moz keyword tool search volumes for keywords. For example: I entered "largest police departments" and it says 0-10 per month in the US, despite the fact that that term is directly responsible for 200 hits per day. Many alterations of that keyword come up with 0-10 or not determined. This is not a small error -- and it repeats over and over for other search terms that I have already ranked for in the US. It's gigantically inaccurate in a massive scale.

Is there an automated way to import Keyword Rank Tracker data in Google Data Studio?
I am creating an SEO Dashboard in Google Data Studio.

While it's easy to import data from Google Search Console, I have troubles in importing data from Mozzarellas tools. I thought about uploading a CSV file with the ranking to a Google Sheet Document, but I cannot find a way to do this at regular intervals with manual intervention.0 -
Re-connect Goggle Analytics to Moz
I lost the GA account connection to my moz campaign account. I am re-connecting now but on the traffic settings, when I am about to disconnect, I get a warning that I will lose the historical data, what is the impact of loosing this data for the campaign? Thank you

Canonical in Moz crawl report
I'm wondering if the moz bot is seeing my rel="canonical" on my pages. There are 2 notices that are bothering me: Overly Dynamic URL Rel Canonical Overly Dynamic URL - This notice is being generated by urls with query strings. On the main page I have the rel="canonical" tag in the header. So every page with the query string has the canonical tag that points to the page that should be indexed. So my question...Why the notice? Isn't this being handled properly with the canonical tag? I know I can use my robots.txt or the tool in Google search console but is it really necessary when I have the canonical on every page? Here is one of the links that has the "Overly Dynamic URL" notice, as you can see the the canonical in the header points to the page without the query string: https://www.vistex.com/services/training/traditional-classroom/registration-form/?values=true&course-title=DMP101 – Data Maintenance Pricing – Business Processes&date=March 14, 2016 Rel Canonical - Every page in my report has this notice "Using rel=canonical suggests to search engines which URL should be seen as canonical". I'm using the rel="canonical" tag on all of my pages by default. Is the report suggesting that I don't do this? Or is it suggesting that I should? Again...why the notice?

Performed a Moz Crawl Test - Says I have 107 External Links on Homepage??
Hello Mozzers! Exactly at the title suggests, I performed a crawl test on one our sites and the report says we have 107 external links on the homepage and another 34 on one of our internal category pages. On both of these pages I can only find 7 external links, anyone know why the crawl test is saying this? And if Moz is finding these external links could google be doing the same and punishing our site for the high number of external links? Any response appreciated! Richard

I update content and then craw but the MOZ spider still shows old content. Do I need to update something else?
"This shows but was replaced a day before I ran Moz crawer: | We provide a full service for low cost automated phone calls, robocalls, Bulk SMS service, Political robo calls without needing computer skills | "

I look in the link on website and see:
<title>Our customers talk about: Currently the tremendous growth of organi</title> Why does the craw not reflect the current content? Thanks.

MOZ crawl test is not reporting on all the pages on my site.
I've run the crawl test one of the sites I've taken over SEO for, however its only picking all the pages. For instance it indexes all the pages under xxxxx/us but none under xxxxx/au or xxxxx/uk The pages are being indexed as they're ranking in Google. Thanks.

How can the Moz Page Grader support a 'keyword portfolio' approach?
I used to use the Page Grader tools to support the old philosophy of one page - one keyword. With more focus now being given to a portfolio of keywords around a topic area - what would be a good approach to using the page grader tool? Obviously getting A's and B's is impossible for multiple keywords. The only way i've seen suggested in moz tools to help with keyword portfolios is to use labels in the ranking measurement and then find averages of the results. Are there other strategies that I can try?
