GTM Migration from Old to New Verison as Old Version closing on 1st April
-
Hi Guys,
Can you please tell me is it a correct configuration for tracking thank you page?
In Old Version of Tag Manager -
GA conversion Tracking, tag type - universal analytic, web property id - UA-12345678-9
track type - transaction, Firing rule -{{url}} contains ordersuccessful.aspx, {{event}} equals gtm.domIn New Version of Tag Manager -
Choose Product - Google Analytic, choose tag type - universal analytic, configure tag - tracking id - UA-12345678-9, track type - transaction, Fire on -Name - order successful page, type - custom event, Filter- Page url contains ordersuccessful.aspx, event equals gtm.dom
-
If i remove event equals gtm.dom will tag fire and transaction details will reflect in google analytic?
-
I am doing Manually configuration in new version of GTM as i have only few tags so just want to know if all tags successfully configured & I placed new GTM code on my website then google analytic will start reflecting data at same moment right, it will not take 24 hours right?
Thanks!

Oh! half answer I got from my own side
Above configuration works in old version of gtm but tag not fire on new version of gtm.
But when i select some page and configure as Page URL Contains OrderSuccessful.aspx
Then tag fire and started refelecting in google analytic.

So is it okay in new version of tag manager i am selecting custom event, and then i am configuring - Filter- Page url contains ordersuccessful.aspx, event equals gtm.dom ?

Migrating Subfolder content to New domain Safely
Hello everyone, I'm currently facing a challenging situation and would greatly appreciate your expertise and guidance. I own a website, maniflexa.com, primarily focused on the digital agency niche. About 3 months ago, I created a subfolder, maniflexa.com/emploi/, dedicated to job listings which is a completely different niche. The subfolder has around 120 posts and pages. Unfortunately, since I created the subfolder, the rankings of my main site have been negatively impacted. I was previously ranking #1 for all local digital services keywords, but now, only 2 out of 16 keywords have maintained their positions. Other pages have dropped to positions 30 and beyond. I'm considering a solution and would like your advice: I'm planning to purchase a new domain and migrate the content from maniflexa.com/emploi/ to newdomain.com. However, I want to ensure a smooth migration without affecting the main domain maniflexa.com rankings and losing backlinks from maniflexa.com/emploi/ pages. Is moving the subfolder content to a new domain a viable solution? And how can I effectively redirect all pages from the subfolder to the new domain while preserving page ranks and backlinks?

I wish they did, but GSC doesn't offer a solution to migration content from subfolder to a new domain. 😢 Help a fellow Mozer. Thanks for giving a hand.0 -
Very Old Pages Creeping Up - Advice
We are currently having very old pages dating back 5+ years ago appearing on moz all of a sudden, we don't necessarily get traffic from these links anymore and i doubt they still hold any weight. Currently they take you to a 404 page, would there be any worth in redirecting these links?

New websites
Hi Moz community, My company updated and used a new developer to build and re-design their charity websites: www.runforcharity.com, www.cycleforcharity.com and www.sportforcharity.com. This sites were "re-launched" at the beggining of December 2015 and I have now been able to get a good 6 weeks worth of data. I've been religiously using Moz.com for a couple of years and I use it simply for SEO purposes. Our websites are built upon organic traffic being driven to them and I have noticed that the PA on the new sites has taken a hammering. They all appear to have a PA of 1 and I'm at a loss why? It appears that no page has h1 text? Would this be an issue with the developer or something the content team is doing wrong? Any help of advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks Ryan

Ranking 1st on Google, but not in top 50 on Bing and Yahoo?
Hi Mozzers, Roughly 2 weeks ago we were ranked:
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Travis-W
#2 on Google for "African American Business Owner Mailing Lists"
#2 on Bing
#2 on Yahoo Now we are ranked
#1 on Google #50 on Bing
#50 on Yahoo I noticed a lot of our other keywords improved on Google during this period but vanished from the other 2 search engines. Other KWs include
"Apartment Owner Mailing Lists " (#4 on Google)
"Community College Mailing Lists (#3 on Google)
etc. What gives?

Creating new pages for geo targeted keywords
What's the best way to go about creating new pages for geo targeted keywords for a business? I ask because, these keywords are areas that they provide service to, but the brick and mortar business is not located. I've already run into problems trying to put too many locations onto one page. What's the best way to attack content for these new pages in order to get these geo keywords in there?

Mobile version creating duplicate content
Hi We have a mobile site which is a subfolder within our site. Therefore our desktop site is www.mysite.com and the mobile version is www.mysite.com/m/. All URL's for specific pages are the same with the exception of /m/ in them for the mobile version. The mobile version has the specific user agent detection capabilities. I never saw this as being duplicate content initially as I did some research and found the following links

http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/022109.html What I am finding now is that when I look into Google Webmaster Tools, Google shows that there are 2 pages with the same Page title and therefore Im concerned if Google sees this as duplicate content. The reason why the page title and meta description is the same is simply because the content on the 2 verrsions are the exact same. Only layout changes due to handheld specific browsing. Are there any speficific precausions I could take or best practices to ensure that Google does not see the mobile pages as duplicates of the desktop pages Does anyone know solid best practices to achieve maximum results for running an idential mobile version of your main site?1
