Rel Canonical Notice in Moz Analytics
-
Hello all.
I just received my first report fro Moz Analytics. Signed up here to see what problems my site might have and find out how to fix them.
On all of my issue pages I see notice with black dot saying that my urls are
Rel Canonical
Using rel=canonical suggests to search engines which URL should be seen as canonical.
I know that recently my web developer set up so that every url on my website has a rel=canonical as I think there was an issue with trailing slash.
Is this to be considered an issue or I can just leave it?
Thank you guys.
Regards,
Armands

Thank you Don.
Less to worry about.

Hello, and welcome to Moz!
Using rel canonical on each page to itself is okay and sometimes even advised. Moz tells you about it, but it is nothing to be alarmed at. I know that is a bit confusing, as I have seen this question a few times. Just treat it as a notice nothing more.
Hope this helps,
Don

Unsolved If you had to prioritize Moz features for those just getting started, what would be your top three?
If you had to prioritize Moz features for those just getting started, what would be your top three? I have my own thoughts here, but I am keen to hear what other Mozers believe.

Remove moz team conversation bubble
That little notification bubble on the bottom right corner of my account has finally gotten well beyond the point of irritation. Is there any way that I can permanently disable this?

Moz not recognising url to setup a new account
I am attempting to setup a new account for my client but Moz is having a problem and not registering the url http://www.esc.uk.net/. I get the "oops" message & read the info on the FAQ page it refers to. Why do I keep getting an "Oops" message when I type and submit my campaign URL? To create a campaign, we need to receive a valid HTTP response from the web server hosting your site. While the site may be accessible from a standard web browser, other user-agents and search engine bots may receive a different response. If you receive this error, we recommend running a test by sending an HTTP response using any online HTTP tool. Using an online HTTP tool I believe I received an HTTP response. What else can I do? Regards Terry

Why can't I Ctrl + click on links on Moz any more?
I'm interested if it's just me that gets frustrated by this? I've just Ctrl + clicked a few links to open them in separate tabs and then realised that none of them had opened. I know it's been like this for a while. It's a usability issue as it goes against expected norms, and now I have to right-click and then click "Open in new tab" on each link, which is more time-consuming and frustrating. More and more websites seem to be losing their Ctrl + click on links ability (JavaScript often breaks it). I don't know if there's a Mac equivalent... Anyway, I hope that doesn't seem like I'm too angry. It just frustrates me a little and I hope it gets fixed. 🙂 Edit - I've just realised these are getting blocked by Chrome's pop-up blocker - but why? It's only an issue on a small number of websites.

Moz profile
Hi, For some reason when I try and add my site's link in my Moz profile I keep getting an error. My site an SSL so I used https instead of http. I tried again without the 's' as my domain redirects to the https version, but this didn't work. Then I tried without http or https and this didn't work either. Why does Moz hate my site? It's actually really good!!! Thanks, Amelia

How do you "Moz Crawl" a website? Newbie...
Hi everyone; I've used Screaming Frog in the past and it's simple: you enter the URL to the box and click "start" and.. voila: as the button says, the crawling starts. I've had the Pro version of Moz for a while now and haven't really 'done' anything with it. I'd like to crawl a website and thought it would be as easy as it's always been with Screaming Frog... but, for some reason, I can't find the 'way' to do it. I find it really frustrating especially cause I feel like an idiot going around in circles thinking I'm missing something really obvious... Until I realised the only solution was to ask here! So... how in the world do you crawl a website using Moz tools? (Pro version) Thanks!
