Looking for a Proof Reader for a Moz Blog Post..
-
Hello everybody,
After being here for 4 years I decided to write a post for YouMoz. That was about 3 months ago, and while I have read, re-read and proofed this thing a dozen times since, I know my own limits. I honestly want the post to be the best it can be, and while I stand by my article, I know my forte is not with writing.
My article is about Beginning SEO and Where to Start, yes it maybe cliche but I find myself answering many of the questions on these QA boards that I address in this article. It would be nice to have a post I could point to when such situations arise.
What I'm looking for is one or two persons with a strong knowledge of basic SEO, the ability to understand me (a cluttered mind), and strong grammar skills. Credit will be given to those who want it.
The article is basically in what I consider a finished state, I just need to add a compendium video for one of the sections. I have done my own artwork, research, and document design. I just need a keen eye to snuff out those grammar errors I always miss and somebody to tell me if a section doesn't make sense.
If you are interested please let me know here, or send me a PM. I would like to have something to review to make my selection so if you're not active here, a link to where you are would be beneficial. I know that might be asking a lot; help and you also get vetted, but the idea is I don't want to send out what I think is a very good article only to see it appear on another site.
Thank you,
Don
P.S. To the Moz staff. Once I make my selection I will mark at least one response as Good so it don't keep annoying you as an un-answered question.

First, I apologize for responding so tardily. I would like to congratulate you for taking the time to craft a post for YouMoz. Also, it's commendable that you're seeking feedback at this stage. Most authors, myself included, simply want it off their plates at this stage.
While, yes, as Dirk said, it can take time for us to get to your post, that's owing in large part to (a) the initial quality of the post (posts that are more ready to be posted do get moved ahead of the line as we review, re-review and include copious notes in the articles to authors for revision) and (b) how effective authors are at making the needed changes in a timely fashion.
Our goal with YouMoz is to post the best content possible. That can mean a lot of back and forth between author and editor.

Hi Don,
Would be willing to proof read for the content part- however as I am not a native speaker wouldn't be much help for the grammar part (that part is normally also taken care of by the Moz reviewers).
I went to the process quite recently and I would strongly recommend to submit the post as soon as possible - it takes ages before it's reviewed (in my case it took 6 weeks - and several mails to Ronell before they started reviewing - once reviewed it went quite fast).
Dirk

Guest blog on my web site.
**I received this email from a lady who wishes to write articles and post them on my site under my news section . Ok, if its quality I dont mind hiring somebody to create a post. Her proposal is as follows and this is her email :-**Basically what I can offer is to write a couple of articles for your News section, something fun and interesting for your visitors which will hopefully drag some traffic your way. I could make them well suited to your site and I could include in each a link to a client of mine - one who wants to be exposed on a good site like yours - and for doing that I can offer you compensation of £33 for each client link - 1 per article. For example, one client is Watches of Switzerland, so I could write an article about ideal wedding gifts for a groom maybe, or something about a perfect Honeymoon destination like Switzerland, and slip a link in there. Other clients include Weddingsite and Lampcommerce - which could be included in something about making a matrimonial home. There are a few stipulations I would need to abide by, like - the article would need to be 500 words, it would need the link to be a 'do follow' link, it would need a picture or two, and it would need a couple of 'sacrifice links' (just links to Wikipedia or something to make it more Google friendly). Question. Is this what a guest article is ? and also is the format ok ? Sorry if this seems a dumb question but still learning guys . King regards to everyone Peter

Same keywords different posts
Ive read through past articles and this has come to mind, when wiritng instructions in parts, so for example Scuba Diving part 1 - Equipment Checks Scuba Diving Part 2 - Choosing a buddy Scuba Diving part 3 - Check and double check With the keyword through the article being scuba diving. Looking at previous posts if they are on multiple pages with teh keyword Scuba diving then link juice would be shared but as an article then pages make more sense for reading. Is it best for SEO to have it all on one page or is it best to have for part one as scuba diving , part 2 as diving, part 3 as diving equipment, Although other pages are taken up with those keywords. So i suppose what im asking is will the same keyword over multiple pages devalue the work on the first post.

Best way to get my Blog traffic
I've recently began blogging on my site. The content is all unique and useful and written properly without keyword stuffing... My question is, how do i go about getting people to see the blog (getting traffic to it) so that it can get linked to. I've created content that i believe people will naturally link to, the only problem is they're not finding my blog. Any advice on how to get my blog out into the world?! thanks

Duplicate Content on WordPress Blogs?
We are getting ready to add a WordPress blog to our established website. Our plans are to place it in a subfolder on our website to maximize rank. My question is...Do we need to utilize a Meta Robots WordPress plugin by Yoast or similar so that noindex, follow robots meta tags will prevent search engine indexing of search result pages, subpages and category archives? We want to avoid the dreaded Duplicate Content Error and penalty. Any other great SEO WordPress plugins? Thank you for your time. Brian

Using own domain for Google blog
Is it worth the effort using your own domain for a Google blog? After adding my own domain to a blog I see a boost in ranking, maybe the url has more value without the blogspot extension, or that Google might treat the (max.10) pages you produce under your own domain as "independent" thus giving you the chance of building your own domain trust...?
