Cache and index page of Mobile site
-
Hi,
I want to check cache and index page of mobile site. I am checking it on mobile phone but it is showing the cache version of desktop. So anybody can tell me the way(tool, online tool etc.) to check mobile site index and cache page.

Interestingly, I was able to access your home page without the redirect several times as well. Maybe they're running some kind of A:B testing? If so, that's not the way I would suggest going about it.

Hello Anirban,
I'm going to list a few resources below related to mobile site SEO and testing. However, I think your problem may have to do with the fact that your home page 302 (temporary) redirects to /NRI-Real-Estate.htm, which then has a Rel Canonical tag pointing to the / home page. Basically, this acts like an infinite redirect loop.
To see this for yourself use one of these HTTP status checkers:
https://httpstatus.io/
http://tools.seobook.com/server-header-checker/My recommendation would be to use / as your home page. Keep the Rel Canonical tag the same, and 301 redirect the / page to /NRI-Real-Estate.htm.
Now for mobile... I noticed the HTTP header of the home page returns Vary: Accept-Encoding. This works for responsive design, but if you are truly doing "Dynamic Serving" you'll want to use Vary: User-Agent as discussed here.
For testing the design to see if it is being adjusted for mobile users I like to use my iPhone and iPad, as well as these emulators:
http://mobiletest.me/
http://www.mobilephoneemulator.com/
Or the one included in Chrome Developers Tools. -
http://goo.gl/gaNwDD, it is responsive design, dynamic serving.

Hello Anirban,
What is the website? Is the mobile site on a subdomain, separate TLD, within a sub-directory, responsive on the same URLs... ?

Changing Canonical Tags on Indexed Pages that are Ranking Well
Hi Guys, I recently rolled out a domain wide canonical tag change. Previously the website had canonical tags without the www, however the website was setup to redirect to www on page load. I noticed that the site competitors were all using www and as far as I understand www versus non www, it's based on preference. In order to keep things consistent, I changed the canonical tag to include the www. Will the site drop in rankings? Especially if the pages are starting to rank quite well. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

SEO page descriptions on mobile - how to hide while preserving the juice for SEO?
Hi everybody, On our pages we have crafted good text paragraphs for SEO purposes. On desktop everything is fine but on mobile the paragraph of text pushes the main content really low on the page. Is there a way of hiding the text while preserving the SEO juices and not getting penalised by Google for spamming techniques? I'd appreciate any recommendations on how to deal with this. Thanks very much!

Moving career site to new URL from main site. Will it hurt SEO for main page?
For one of our clients we are building a career site and putting it under a different URL and hosting service (mainly due to security concerns of hosting it under the same host and domain). almost 100% of the incoming traffic to their current career section (which it is in a sub-folder) receives traffic for branded keywords (brand + job/career/employment), that is, there are no job position specific keywords. The client is now worried that after moving the site, the inbound traffic to the main site will be severely affected as well as the SERP results. My questions are, will the non-career related SERPs be affected? I don't see how will they be but I could be wrong If no, how could we reassure her that the SEO to the main site wont be affected? are there any case studies of a similar case (splitting part of the website under a new URL and hosting service?) Thank you for your help. PS: this is my first post so please forgive me if this has been asked before. I could not find a good response.

SEO for 1,000,000 page site
Dear All, I hope you can help me with another question about doing SEO for a large site: 1 - My domain is 11 year old, all time was a parking domain
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | SteveTran2013
2 - We have 10,000 articles - unique content (500-1500 words)
3 - the remaining are automated content, however, they are also unique with data (numbers, figure) We are going to launch it in 2 weeks, and intend to do the following things: Stage 1: first 2 months - only post 10,000 articles with unique content, NO using automated ones.
Link building: get 5-10 authority links pointing to it, either article writings or link pages (authority links Yahoo directory/Dmoz) Stage 2: month 3 to 6: gradually put the automated content online while still posting unique and well written articles.
Link building: Start building links with PR websites, article submission. Do you think there are any problems with this plan? and if 5-10 links can improve our site ranking, given it has a lot of unique content? Thank you very much. BR/Tran1 -
Getting Pages Requiring Login Indexed
Somehow certain newspapers' webpages show up in the index but require login. My client has a whole section of the site that requires a login (registration is free), and we'd love to get that content indexed. The developer offered to remove the login requirement for specific user agents (eg Googlebot, et al.). I am afraid this might get us penalized. Any insight?
