RSS Feed and WebTraffic
-
I am a weebly user and have a site (crmi-online.com) which has an RSS Feed of my current blog entries on my home page. I am struggling with the following issues...
Duplicate Content - Moz shows duplicate content for my blog articles. Which are also housed here (http://www.crmi-online.com/news-and-press-releases). Could having the feed on my site be causing this issue?
Traffic- My Weebly stats show that the RSS Feed is my 2nd highest ranking page at 713 views per this month. However when I compare it to the data in Moz my news feeds or the actual blog page are not one of my top ranking pages. Can someone help to explain the difference? Also, it appears that my site gets a lot of spam traffic and I wonder if removing the feed would help and give more accurate numbers.
Is it necessary? - Is it necessary to have both the feed and the blog page? I want to move to one of the new weebly responsive themes after having trouble with a current custom/non-supported template. If I do that the feed will have to go since it jumbles the content in mobile view. I am not sure of the need except for the aesthetics on the home page since I dont see any correlation to traffic to the actual article/blog itself.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Usually this is can be caused due to case sensitivity or Https and Http mix ups.
Ensure that all URLS both naturally on the site and in the feeds are identical, try to ensure that each page has a unique URL on the site and classify this in a Canonical link at the top of each page.
Use Screaming Frog to spider the site and look for duplicates as another way of finding the duplicates.

How does Google find /feed/ at the end of all pages on my site?
Hi! In Google Webmaster Tools I find *.../feed/ as a 404 page in crawl errors. The problem is that none of these pages exist and they have no inbound links (except the start page). FYI, it´s a wordpress site. Example: www.mysite.com/subpage1/feed/ www.mysite.com/subpage2/feed/ www.mysite.com/subpage3/feed/ etc Does Google search for /feed/ by default or why do I keep getting these 404´s every day?

RSS Feed Errors in Google
We recently (2 months ago) launched RSS feeds for the category pages on our site. Last week we started seeing error pages in Webmaster Tools' Crawl Errors report pop up for feeds of old pages that have been deleted from the site, deleted from the sitemap, and not in Google's index since long before we launched the RSS feeds. Example: www.mysite.com/super-old-page/feed/ I checked and both the URL for the feed and the URL for the actual page are returning 404 statuses. www.mysite.com/super-old-page/ is also showing up in our Crawl Errors. Its been deleted for months but Webmaster Tools is very slow to remove the page from their Crawl Error report. Where is Google finding these feeds that never existed?

One page with multi syndicate feeds
Hi, Just a quick note. I hope someone is able to advise. To cut a long story short I have a page/s that receive multiple syndicated feeds.

We are using the content for its value to visitors. Am very happy to cross domain rel=canonical the source and not incur any of Panda's wrath but would like to know if one can add multiple rel-canonicals to one page to reference multiple sources. Appreciate your help. Many thanks Dave Upton0 -

Are RSS Feeds deemed duplicate content?
If a website content management system includes built-in feeds of different categories that the client can choose from, does that endanger them of having duplicate content if their categories are the same as another client's feed? These feeds appear on templated home page designs by default. Just trying to figure out how big of an issue these feeds are in terms of duplicate content across clients' sites. Should I be concerned? Obviously, there's other content on the home page besides the feed and have not really seen negative effects, but could it be impacting results?
