Https address has different result that http in Page Optimization Score toll in Moz PRO
-
The following url
https://www.whichledlight.com/t/gu10-led-bulbs has (100 score for keyword 'GU10 LED')
has different on page opmisation score results to
http://www.whichledlight.com/t/gu10-led-bulbs (73 score for keyword 'GU10 LED')Anyone know if we've set something up wrong?
Also, is this even something to worry about, does google treat them differently? We're using the Page Optimisation Tool in Moz Pro
** UPDATE **
It's worth mentioning we are using emberjs, so the website is a single page application.
We use prerender to render the pages for google. -
Would this affect how google crawls us you think?
-
So it doesn't appear to be a javascript issue. I looked at your campaign and the page getting 73 is actually for http://whichledlight.com/t/gu10-led-bulbs without the www which re-directs to the home page.
The on-page tool for that URL is grading https://www.whichledlight.com/
:)

Hi David...
Just checking you saw the other reply we sent?Cheers
-
Hi David,
We do have prerender (https://prerender.io/) serving the pages... wouldn't that mean they'll be being crawled correctly?
-
Hello!
The scores will not be accurate for either version as the pages are in javascript which our tool cannot crawl as it only can read standard HTML content.
-
Are our pages currently doing that?
Sorry, development team isn't online at the minute.
Thanks for replying as well
-
Hello there, Yes, Google treats these as two unique addresses. It's very important when switching to a SSL that you re-direct non-secured pages to their secured version. You'll want to implement 301 permanent redirects and rel=canonical tags or you will continue to have duplicate content concerns.

On-Page Grader "Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible."
We have a new client with a squarespace page. http://www.mountainhouseestate.com The Moz On-Page grader returns the error "Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible." for all pages. Possibly related, Google seems to hate their site. Even a search for "mountain house estate" returns lousy results. Bing/Yahoo has no problem with it.

Duplicate Home Page in Moz Report
I recently ran a crawl report in MOZ for www.laddersfree.co.uk and it has picked duplicate pages for my home page. The two pages are www.laddersfree.co.uk and www.laddersfree.co.uk The CMS System my developer is using is Concrete5. If you look at the source code there is a Canonical <link rel="<a class="attribute-value">canonical</a>" href="http://www.laddersfree.co.uk/" /> I am very confused as to why there are two pages picked up in the crawl. Can someone offer any advice please? Thank you. Jason

How do you block keywords in On-Page Grader for certain URLs?
For the on-page grader, I rank A's for 9 keywords. I struggle with F's I have because it is searching keywords on pages that are not supposed to be searched. For example, I have a "bracelets" page, so I didn't optimize it for "rings", so I got an F. However, it graded me an A for the bracelets keyword, which is great. To be sure I am correct, each page should have it's own keyword, such as bracelet. So why is the grader checking my "Bracelets" page for "Rings"? Maybe there is something I am missing. Just trying to see why this happening.

Moz Crawl Showing Duplicate Content But It's Not?!
Unfortunately I can't give out the URL, but here's the deal... I have two URL's which have completely different content on them but are being crawled as duplicate content. Any Idea how that would happen? I'm not seeing any errors in WMT's. Has anyone seen this before? Is the duplicate content reporting based on a % of the page content matching as the same?

Keyword Difficulty, can I change local and global search volume results from Bing to Google?
Under the Keyword Difficulty tool among the information provided to you when you complete a search is a local and global search volume. Above those numbers it says "Bing Search Volume (Exact Match)" is there any way to change this from Bing to Google? Or do I not understand what exact information they are giving me here?
