Open Graph/Twitter Cards
-
Hi Guys,
Quick question is there any benefit/point in setting up FB Open Graph and Twitter Cards for sites which don't have the tags but have social sharing buttons which correctly display the social snippets/descriptions
Example: http://tinyurl.com/jaowtkd The page has social sharing buttons at the bottom, which show a description for Twitter.

Yes,
Because you then get to control what content summary, image and even headline or keyword is used, not to mention you can customize them based on the url.
This is helpful in general as it makes your brand more consistent throughout social media, consistency = trust.

Open graph tags
I’m in the process of developing a website and want to ensure the CMS can have OG tags set up and edit. I was going to add the following: og: type og :image og:url og:description Are there any other open graph tags worth adding in? Also in addition to open graph tagging is there any other social media sites etc that need to be accommodate for in my CMS, in terms of adding tags?, ie Instagram, Pinterest or LinkedIn.

What percentage of people will Like/Share something on Facebook vs. Liking/Sharing from a website?
I asked this on Quora and am curious what the Moz community has to offer: http://www.quora.com/What-percentage-of-people-will-Like-Share-something-on-Facebook-vs-Liking-Sharing-from-a-website If I have a blog post that I share on Facebook and I receive 1,000 Likes and/or Shares, what's the percentage of those Likes/Shares that will come from people interacting with the post in their Facebook news feed vs. people Liking/Sharing the article on my blog? I realize many factors are at play here (type of content, audience, time of day, blog design, etc.) but have there been any studies that attempted to address this question?

If you post on two Twitter accounts could be rated as duplicate content
I have a personal Twitter account which is building up, but I also have a Twitter account for my holiday letting agency and until now I’ve always separated the subject of the tweets and links to my websites but I’m using Buffer which automates your tweets in advance and so I included some of the links to my business holiday letting agency articles on my personal account and people seem to like them and have shared them, but is there any risks to doing that regarding duplicate type of content? At the end of the day some the people on my personal Twitter will be interested in my agency tweets about holiday accommodation, I just want to do anything which could be termed spam.

What should I do on a limited budget of $2,000/mo
Hello everyone I have started a new small business which currently we do only PPC marketing. We are spending roughly $1,700 per week in this medium, and would rather invest this money into getting ourselves organic. I am trying to figure out how we can best invest what money we have without stopping the PPC campaign, as we are only a month old with a limited budget ($2,000 month to spend on SEO). Our website right now has a fair amount of content, and we are blogging 3x a week at around 700-1000 words average per blog. We have zero backlinks at the moment, or at least from what I can see on opensiteexplorer, and of course this is expected. I have used seomoz to optimize my pages, and keyword tool to figure out which keywords we want to go after. Some of the better keywords available seem like it would be very hard to get on Google first page as most of the links are authorative .edu/.gov links. So we dont know exactly where to invest now. All our pages are optimized well via the seomoz tool, we get an A on all our pages for certain keywords. It seems to me the next step would be back links building, but I want to make sure and hire a reputable company (going to use the SEOMOZ recommended list) so we dont have issues in the future. Before doing so I was hoping to get some input from everyone here as to what might be the best path to take on a limited budget. What are my priorities lets say if we could rank them? I should probably mention we are on facebook with 50 likes and about 50 shares via the blogs. We are ranking on some of our keywords (only one first page on bing/yahoo, none on google), but I take this as a good sign for only having this website up for about 10 days. We have another website at first put up really quickly by a friend, then went to our new site. Thanks for the help

How can I gain links by creating infographics and/or memes?
It seems that both infographics and memes seem to be popular methods of creating good quality links at the moment, but how can you actually gain links by using these? When people share the graphics they will need to put an extra link in back to you and obviously most will be via social media so will not be worth that much to Google? Do I need to email these out to blogs etc?

How are the metrics measured in Open Site Explorer?
I am using Open Site Explorer to measure some metrics. The Facebook Shares, Facebook Likes, Tweets, and Google +1 metrics make no sense to me. Where and how are these being pulled? Is there a timeframe attached? Can I assign a timeframe to them? I have a ShareThis account that states one of my pages was liked over 3000 times but the metrics say 1 like. Very confused. Thanks for any help! Ari

Does it make sense to have one facebook/twitter account for multiple websites?
If you have several different websites with related themes, does it make sense to just have a facebook or twitter page for the company to make managing the account more manageable?
