Canonicals can be added in Yoast too.

Hello,
For the Redirects:
You have asked about 302 redirects - do you intend to make the redirect permanent or are you transitioning sites temporarily?
If permanent, you probably want to make those 301 redirects instead of 302.
There are a lot of ways to redirect and most depend on the CMS (content management system) you're using. If you are using WordPress, each page has a redirect option at the bottom using the Yoast Plugin. Simply install it and scroll down the page you wish to redirect. There will be an area where you can fill in your new URL.
Rel=canonicals are established through Google Search Console. Here's a link that will help you with the process:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/139066?hl=en
"To address these issues, we recommend you define a canonical URL for content (or equivalent content) available through multiple URLs. You can do this for Google Search in a number of ways: Set your preferred domain. Indicate the preferred URL with the rel="canonical" link element."
The Moz Blog also put up a pretty great rel=canonical guide (i.e. when to use them and when not to). That link is here:
https://moz.com/blog/complete-guide-to-rel-canonical-how-to-and-why-not
Hope this helps and feel free to ask any follow up questions you have.
Cheers,
Rob

Why do you need 302 redirects? That is a temporary redirect--do you have some pages that have been temporarily moved?
Although many sites do put canonicals on every page (making them canonical to themselves) this is not necessary. You only really need them if you have duplicate content on your site. Do you have that? If not, you don't need canonicals either.

Keep getting "/feed" broken links in Google Search Console
Hey guys, I'm having an issue for the past few months. I keep getting "/feed" broken links in Google Search Console (screenshot attached). The site is a WordPress site using the YoastSEO plugin for on-page SEO and sitemap. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Did you fix it? How should I redirect these links? s7elXMy

What can I do with 8000+ 302 temporary redirects?
Hi I'm working on a clients site that has an odd structure with 8000+ 302 temporary redirects. They are related to actions on the site (they have to be there and work this way for the site to function) but they also have a stupid number of perameters. Would it be ok to block them all in the robots.txt file? Would that make any difference?

What to do with a 302 redirect after a while
Hi guys, A client of ours has a website with a very bad linkprofile. We adressed this issue and we migrated the website to another domain. We redirected the bad website (cornelisbedding.be) to the new domain (cornelisbedding.com) with a 302 redirect. We didn't want to pass the bad link juice. The problem we are having now is that we can't afford to lose the redirect on cornelisbedding.be. We would lose to much traffic because the old domain still has alot of links that generate good quality traffic. I have read that Google will treat 302 redirects as 301's in the long run. We really want to avoid this.

We were thinking of using a meta refresh with a delay on, but in Google's eyes that would be considered spammy. Are their any other suggestions on how to handle this? Thanks you!0 -
Redirect or not to redirect
We are rebuilding a website and try to get rid of errors. The content remains exactly the same but we correct the code and make it load faster. The site has quite many backlinks and I can't decide whether to remove .html endings from the urls and 301 redirect to the new ones or leave them with the older ending. If I remove the endings how much of the link juice will be passed? Anyone any idea?

Rel canonical with index follow on query string URLs
Hi guys, Quick question regarding the rel canonical tag. I have lots of links pointing at me with query strings and previously used some code to determine if query strings were in the URL and if they were then not to index that page. If there weren't query strings then the page would be indexed and followed. I assume I can now use the rel canonical tag on each of these pages so the value goes to the proper URL minus any query string. However do I need to have the rel canonical tag above the index, follow tag on the page? So URL is site.com/page.html?ref=ABC meta robots is "index, follow" Rel canonical is "site.com/page.html" Does the order of the meta robots and canonical tag matter? Thanks in advance!

302 vs. a href="nofollow"
we came across one thing the we did not asked to programm by our intention. we have a magento shop and on the produktpage we have those "compare" buttons. these link have a session id and the follow a 302 back onto the same page. so i beleive the idea is that google will just not follow 302s and thats it. so my questions is: is this right what we beleive if so why is a 302 better compared to a a href="nofollow" ???
