Is a One Page Website template bad for SEO?
-
I have a website of a freelancer who is using a One Page template which includes the following section
-
About Him
-
Portfolio
-
Resume
I also got 5 sperate pages which are related to the keywords he wants to rank for. Will this be sufficient or should I suggest him to go for a separate website template?

I would focus on the overall Information Architecture, and lay out the content in a way that makes sense for the people reading the information. So, in that sense I think a one page site is appropriate for what you describe.
You can work on building backlinks to improve the SEO, as well as ensuring the freelancer is listed in local directories, social media, et al., plus doing other types of marketing.

Template doesn't matter. If you like the layout you can use the same one-page template over and over and make a 1000+ pages website with that template. You can even use 5 different one-page templates to make 5 pages. As long as your content varies, you're good.

When I tried Indexing my newly created service pages. The pages are not getting indexed on Google.
I also tried manual indexing of each page and submitted a sitemap but still, the issue doesn't seem to be resolved. Thanks0 -
Does product environment have impact on main website's SEO
We have two environments - product, where login is necessary and where the customers are working. We also have there our help desk, Q&A and knowledge base. Pretty sophisticated page regarding information on a specific topic. We also have our main page where we promote our products, company and events, etc. Main page is www.example.com, where product environment is login.example.com . Does this product environment have an impact on my main page's SEO?

How bad are 403 errors compared to 404s in regards to technical SEO?
Google Webmaster Tools reports "Access Denied" 403 errors. They also provide an explanation of what they mean at https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2409441?ctx=MCE&ctx=AD&hl=en. What are the implications of these Access Denied errors? Should they be 301 redirected internally?

How many pages should be on landscapers website
Hi Guys, We have a good website strong onsite and offsite seo. A year ago, we had a 15 pages website for all main keywords we needed and we were on top 3 for most of these keywords in google. We were happy but we wanted more.. So we created lots of unique content targeting long tail keywords and created 100 more pages for the website. In next 4-5 months we lost positions for almost all our main keywords but got lots of longtails SERPs. Trafiic grew but the quality and the conversion rate shrinked. Everybody keep saying that it doesn't matter how many pages you have on the website as long as content is unique and I don't think it is true. I see lots of 3-5 paged websites without any seo in top 3 results in google. Does it mean that if I delete all these 100 pages that I created I will have more chances to get my main keywords SERP back? Basically does the seo juice that you have on domain is spreading across all pages and the more pages you have the less juice every page will get?

SEO and Internal Pages
Howdy Moz Fans (quoting Rand), I have a weird issue. I have a site dedicated to criminal defense. When you Google some crimes, the homepage comes up INSTEAD of the internal page directly related to that type of crime. However, on other crimes, the more relevant internal page appears. Obviously, I want the internal page to appear when a particular crime is Googled and NOT the homepage. Does anyone have an explanation why this happens? FYI: I recently moved to WP and used a site map plugin that values the internal pages at 60% (instead of Weebly, which has an auto site map that didn't do that). Could that be it? I have repeatedly submitted the internal pages via GWT, but nothing happens. Thanks.

Page information out of date - implications for SEO
Hi everyone, We have a page on our website which is optimised for "London to Amsterdam trains" and "Any Dutch station" (a particular fare type). It's one of the best performing pages in terms of organic SEO. However the fare is being discontinued so the information is now redundant... what should we do? It's an old blog post so it's dated but it will be frustrating for people to get to it through a search engine and then realise that it's old information. Should we create a new page and optimise it for the same keywords or will this be detrimental? Should we update the original page or add a note that links to a new page? Confused as to the best way forward... Thanks Nila

Page HTML great for humans, but seems to be very bad for bots?
We recently switched platforms and use Joomla for our website. Our product page underwent a huge transformation and it seems to be user friendly for a human, but when you look at one of our product pages in SEOBrowser it seems that we are doing a horrible job optimizing the page and our html almost makes us look spammy. Here is an example or a product page on our site: http://urbanitystudios.com/custom-invitations-and-announcements/shop-by-event/cocktail/beer-mug And, if you take a look in something like SEObrowser, it makes us look not so good. For example, all of our footer and header links show up. Our color picker is a bunch of pngs (over 60 to be exact), our tabs are the same (except for product description and reviews) on every single product page... In thinking about the bots: 1-How do we handle all of the links from footer, header and the same content in the tabs 2-How do we signal to them that all that is important on the page is the description of the product? 3-We installed schema for price and product image, etc but can we take it further? 4-How do we handle the "attribute" section (i.e. our color picker, our text input, etc). Any clarification I need to provide, please let me know.

Landing Page - Home Page redesign SEO factor question - Serious concern.
Hi Folks, I'm considering making a big change to our website and really need some expert advise. Will we lose ranking if we do what I propose? Our site www.meninkilts.com, needs to split users/clients by "Commercial" and "Residential" so we can message/market completely differently to each client. We are considering doing this structure: Landing Page | | Commercial Homepage Residential Homepage Right now we rank well, for our keywords like "Window Cleaning cityname" but are worried that adding a landing page, and splitting our site to two homepages will effect seo (ie: a landing page would only have two buttons: one for commercial and one for residential). What would be the best way to handle this. Looking forward to your insights! Cheers Brent
