Try running your queries through google trends for various states and comparing the results. It will take some time, but it works.

Go to trends.google.com
Type in a keyword you want to research
Choose a region

When choosing a region click on the arrow next to the United States and you'll be able to pick a state. like here >> https://i.imgur.com/ybREtbj.png

GA traffic locations must be wrong? Most hits from a state we don't do business in!

I launched a website earlier this year. Very limited traffic, 200-300 a month. It is an info site for a specialized business. However, when I review my GA traffic reports, 20% of our traffic comes from one city in Virginia. (although the company does business in many states, it does not in Virginia) or anything close. The bounce rate is 97%! Could it be a web scraper or some kind of redirect?

Getting People to Leave Product Reviews, When they've reached our site in search of reviews

We have a product review website that has been showing a steady increase in organic traffic. However we seem to be having a disconnect between what happens when a visitor arrives. We essentially want a visitor coming to our website in search of a review, to LEAVE a review for another product they may have used... Any suggestions on ways we might encourage this? We are kind of newbies at this!

How do i know if my links are being classed as spammy?

I have recently notice that a lot of my domains are dropping positions where they have been in a solid position for nearly a year which was good 🙂
I am now wondering if google is dropping them due to spammy links but i don't have the first clue how i would find this out. Does anyone have a good way to figure this out or anything to help with this?

E-commerce SEO when products are shared between sites

We have a couple of e-commerce sites that sell the same product. One focuses more on a niche category of the products, while the others contains a wide variety of products. Will we be hit with a penalty from google if the product descriptions are the same? If so, how much of a difference in content does there need to be? There are only so many ways to describe the product and it is usually done in a couple sentences. The rest of the product description contains bullet points of the products and is the same for each product. We are also looking for a SEO company to work with and wondered if there are companies out there that specialize in e-commerce seo that can work with a small ($500 month) budget. I've looked through the recommended companies directory here, but it seems most have minimum retainers around $1000 a month. Also, what should I look for in an SEO company?

How do you know if you have been penalized by search engines?

How do you know if you have been penalized by search engines? I logged into my Google and Bing webmaster accounts and all looks ok, but in the last 30 days, my organic traffic has decreased 33%. My traffic usually steadily increases and if there is ever a decrease, it's usually very small.

Does anyone know the percentage of searchers that use wildcards in their queries?

I am trying to figure out the number of searchers that use wildcards (*) in their searches. I cannot find much information about a percentage or even ballpark figure. If there is not information on that, what is the percentage of users that use the 'advanced search' options? I am guessing the numbers would be semi-similar. Thanks!
