How does educational organization schema interact with Google's knowledge graph?
Hi there! I was just wondering if the granular options of the Organization schema, like Educational Organization (http://schema.org/EducationalOrganization) and CollegeOrUniversity (http://schema.org/CollegeOrUniversity) schema work the same when it comes to pulling data into the knowledge graph. I've typically always used the Organization schema for customers but was wondering if there are any drawbacks for going deep into the hierarchy of schema. Cheers 😄

Google's Knowledge Panel
Hi Moz Community. Has anyone noticed a pattern in the websites that Google pulls in to populate knowledge Panels? For example, for a lot of queries Google keeps pulling data from a specific source over and over again, and the data shown in the Knowledge Panel isn't on the target page. Is it possible that Google simply favors some sites over others and no matter what you do, you'll never make it into the Knowledge box? Thanks.

Changing old style WP menu built with child pages or not?
Hi Mozzers, the very old theme of my client's site doesn't support the new WP menus, so the menu structure is built in the old way, with parent and child pages. For example the page whose url is www.site.com/rent/ is top level and the sub pages are like www.site.com/rent/cars/ or www.site.com/rent/trucks/ Also there are third generation pages like www.site.com/rent/cars/fiat500/ Since I am changing the theme, I am going to use the new WP menu system and I'd like to know if this parent/child url structure may hurt link equity propagation. My question is: should I detach the child pages from the parents and, according to that, change the urls of the child pages from:

www.site.com/rent/cars/ to www.site.com/rent-cars/ (and of course 301 redirect them) ? Or is it ok to leave the pages' url in the old parenting way? What is the best practice? Thank you very much! DoMiSoL Rossini0 -

Benefits of Implementing Open Graph?
I understand the benefits of implementing Open Graph as a local business, but am unclear of the benefits for a website, for example, a health website. Does Bing use OG in their search algorithm?

How do you find a truely knowledgable SEO person to analyze are large site?
We are a large site, 5600 pages with local pages in almost every city across the US. We are struggling with page rank on some pages and I dont think its as simple as backlinks and its definitely not poor on-page SEO. I think we might have some truly technical issues that is causing us to get penalized in SERP's. Any agencies which analyze sites? This is NOT a job posting so please don't send me messages...I truly want to know how/where to find a solution to our problem. Thanks
