Keyword Dulication in Tags
-
As I mostly work with Belgian/Dutch customers, my keywords are often in Dutch. We have a lot of composite words such as "hooikoortsklachten" or "hooikoortverwachting".
If i were to create a Page Title with content:
Hooikoortsklachten | hooikoortsverwachting
Is this parly duplicated (because of the word hooikoorts x2)? or does Google only consider the entire word?
Insights would be much appreciated! Thanks

This is not a duplicate issue. In english it would be like adding -ing to something. Walk and walking. Two different words, and in fact, it's good to use both in my opinion, as that shows Google more relevance to that root term. Besides, even if they were considered duplicate, putting the same word twice in a title tag is the least of Google's problems to deal with. They could care less. Duplicate issues are when your entire page or lots of your page's content is identical to another page. I wouldn't worry about the situation you describe here.

I'd say Google isn't seeing this as a partly duplicate title. Especially considering both words contain no spaces (and even if it would, I'd doubt Google would see it as duplicate if both versions had significant search volume individually).
I must add though that I can't recall any hard evidence stating either way, but I suppose others that reply can.

How to use long tail keyword?
Hi I read in most of the SEO blogs that using longtail keywords can help us in our search rankings. But how can we actually get a traffic from longtail keyword if that particular longtail keyword is not having any search volume. For example, if I wanted to rank for the keyword "SEO" which has a huge search volume of 5,500 per month and if I wanted to concentrate on one of its longtail keyword "SEO basics for beginners" which has average search volume of only 40 per month, how can it help me?

How do I use two keywords?
Hello! I am ranking very well with a keyword. But that same keyword without an S at the end (making it singural) gets quite a few more searches per month according to Google's Keyword Tool. However, dropping the S just doesn't sound quite right or make as much sense. So how can I target both keywords? Thanks in advance!

SeoMoz Keyword Tool
Hello All, Ive been using the SeoMoz Keyword tool but have a quick question. Im working on a newer site with a DA according to OSE of 35. Im combing through keywords to rank. Although competition is very high I have found a few holes. According to the Keyword tool in SeoMoz a few keywords Im looking at are roughly 50%. Would it be to difficult to rank for this type of term? Ive been using a combination of Google Trends, Adwords keyword tool, and ubersuggest, to try and see whats available. Does anyone use different tools? Thank you

Alt. Tags
How many alt tags should you aim for per page, or Images? Anytime I complete a page I run it through SEOmoZ Page analysis, and usually shoot for an "A", I also look at our competitors to see how many alt tags they are using, and they always have 2-3 per page with keyword inserted. For example If I was aiming for EX. NFL tickets how could I incorp. this into more than 1 image having the keywords on the page without stuffing. Our editor give us the option to put Image Description & Title. Thx

Google Trends not Consistent with Google Keyword Tool
Hi Everyone, I was doing a little Google Trends research on Real Estate and narrowed it down to my state. I have found that on Trends it is showing a two or three towns above the one I am living in showing that it gets a lot of search volume. They will put the top one as a 1 and then the others below it as like .87 or .675 etc. I am taking that as 87% of the top one or 67.5% of the top city in search volume. I checked these numbers against the Google Keyword Tool and found that my town still gets more exact visits (4 times the amount of the one Google Trends ranks #1) I can't see the actual search volume on Google Trends but was wondering....Which one do you trust? I have done some testing on it and realized that for the most part, the numbers in the keyword tool RARELY change. Do they maybe update it once per year? FYI: As you know I trended real estate so what I did on the Keyword tool is "Town State Real Estate" and looked at both Broad and Exact searches. I would appreciate any guidance you guys can give on how I should be paying attention to this data. Thanks!

How to interpret the keyword tool?
I've played with the keyword tool a bit. Some keywords have 43% difficulty and some have 55%. What do these difficulty levels mean? I don't really know how to go about it.
