How to track keyword performance over time?

The SEOMoz keyword reports show week-to-week changed in keyword positions, but what report can I run to see trends over time so that I can evaluate the effectiveness of our SEO efforts?

You can run a graphical report showing your Ranking History for each keyword targeted since you started your campaign.
To do this log into your campaign. Click View This Campaign/All Keyword Rankings.
On your Rankings Report click on the ranking you want to see charted. For instance, if you rank #1 on Google for a keyword this week, you can click on that ranking and a graphical report showing your Ranking History for that keyword since you started your campaign for that word will appear.

I too wish there was something like this. I download the rankings to the .csv file and then import into my master file with all my keywords. Takes a few minutes but worth it --- I can see my trends based on my SEO work.

You can also use the free program cuterank. It works okay and if you buy it you may produce the reports as wel.

Ah I understand now. SEOmoz does not have anything like this in their arsenal. There are a number of tools that you can use to do this, the two i'm familiar with :
Of the two I found Raven Tools much better but Authority has some features Raven does not so it is a matter of preference. Best of luck!

Clarification: The SEOmoz Campaign Manager shows me how all of my keywords did compared to last week. Does SEOmoz keep a history of keyword positions over time so that I can see trends?

Could you provide some clarification on your question? In my mind tracking the positions of multiple keywords over time is the best way to evaluate the effectiveness of your SEO efforts, along with :

of Visitors (Broken down into Traffic Sources)
-
of Conversions (Try to assign a dollar amount for this)
- Statistics on the amount of Indexed data
Follow this up with :
- A snapshot of this same data from last month (or last quarter, or last week) to highlight what you've done for the website with a particular emphasis on ROI.
- A plan for what you are doing next month (or next quarter, or next week)
Obviously if the client wants to get further into specifics you should be knowledgeable and prepared to do this.

As much as 50 line entries. what exactly is happening here? Are they manually using these tools to generate search entries and caching this data in the form of Backlinks? Keyword Stuffing - MOZ On-Page Grader
We sell a great number of insulation products, many of which are produced by individual manufacturers. On the page identified below the Keyword "Kingspan" is repeated numerous times as these items are included in our online shop. However, the many mentions of Kingspan are recorded in the HTML5 Source Code, rather than an external database. When I used the MOZ On-Page Grader, using the keywords "Kingspan" I was surprised to achieve an "A" Grade! How do you explain this in this Keyword Difficulty Report?
Hello here, I am trying to understand how my site virtualsheetmusic.com can better compete for the keyword "sheet music download" where we used to be 3rd until a few months ago, and now we are at the 5th spot. But here is my specific question: I can't find an explanation why two of our competitors are ranked before us at the 3rd and 4th spot. Please, look at the attached image (very wide) which shows the Keyword Difficulty Report for this keyword. You can also download a PDF of it here below: http://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/storage/keyword-sheet-music-download.pdf We are at the 5th spot, and the two competitors highlighted in pink are the ones I am talking about: I am trying to understand why they are ranking better than us, despite our metrics look much better than theirs. In fact, if I look at the metrics in the report, I can't find an explanation to justify their outrank against us, so there must be something else that the report is missing. Find New Keywords Tool - Information is not accurate
When using the Find New Keywords tool, the information listed for Rank is often incorrect. I attached an image with two screen shots. One from the Find New Keywords Tool and the other is a Google search results page. In Incognito mode, I searched for the third item on the list, "Speak Creative Memphis." The results put us at #1 for that term, but the Keyword Tool shows that we're #4. Can you help me understand why there is a difference? keywordtool-ss.jpg

Root Domain Campaign track subdomains¿?
I have set the campaign for the Root domain, hw, I'm receiving issues for both subdomains, demo and www. Our site is set to redirect all non www traffic to www, except demo, who has its own rules. Is that normal? Should I contact the support team? Thanks

How Long For New Keyword Rank Data?
I have a PRO account and added the initial keywords and got the immediate rankings for those. Then I added new keywords and those have not been updated. How long do I have to wait to get Keyword Ranking data on those keywords. I know it says they are updated every Friday, but does that mean I have to wait until next Friday for my first run of data on new keywords?? I ask because I have to present to a client before then and I require the data for that meeting. Any insight is appreciated.
