Will becoming a YouTube partner get me higher rankings on the site?
-
One of the branded channels I run has been offered to be apart of YouTube's Partnership program. Trick is - I don't necessarily want to see ads pop up for my videos, as I imagine the revenue is fairly small.
I would be wiling to join the program if there is evidence that joining the program helps our rankings on YouTube. I imagine it may - as YouTube likely would give preference for partnered channels, partly due to ad/revenue opportunities for them, and partly because partners have obviously proven to have better content.
What do you guys recommend?
-
I'm not sure on that one, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't as you can do so in Adwords and that's where Youtube gets its ads.
-
One more question - Will I be able to limit the advertisements that appear on my account?
I'm somewhat concerned that competitive ads may appear on my videos.
Thank you for all your help so far.

Ya. Check out the details here: www.youtube.com/t/partnerships_benefits

What kind of data will it provide? My videos are already linking back to our site - and provide links to our main site in the description. So I see referral traffic, I'm aware of our views and ratings (as well as any random user would be).
Is there any specific demo data it would give?
Thanks for this answer btw

It'll give you more promotional options and data which in turn will get you more exposure. That alone could get you more views than Youtube rankings in the conventional sense.

Google+, Link from My Site to Author's Google+ Page or to Company Google+
Recently I verified authorship for my Website. So the image from my personal Google+ account appears in search results. My website has a Google+ social media button. Should the link point to my corporate Google+ account or to my personal Google+ account? What is more credible from Google's point of view? What are best practices for this issue? Look forward to hearing from the MOZ community. THANKS!!!

If I check in at my sushi joint, am I going to affect their rankings, and end up in a crowded sushi dive?
In answering a question, I got to pondering something: When we check in with an app like a Yelp, does that affect the rankings? In other words, is more and more check in activity (assume without leaving any review first) going to have an effect like more and more click throughs? Has anyone done any type of study or measure of this? Thoughts? Ideas? Interesting, Thanks, Robert

Facebooking and Liking - Whis is best SEO practice for Rankings
Hi everyone! , i am a rookie with SEO. I have a very specific question for which i would love to hear your opinions on this. I have a facebook fan page about my company. We try to post quality stuff in regard to the industry we are in. However, we are social people, and i have seen improvements whenever we post more "social" topics such as TGIF, Photos, DIY themes. My question is (Actually two questions) : Is there a direct correlation or metric between rankings and "likes", the size of your facebook community ? If so, which has more power or effect on rankings. Facebook Likes generated from your website , or General Likes of posts within your existing community. Hope to hear from ya! Every advice is good advice. Regards Jesus D Aceromart

Sorry! I am not understanding how a Re Tweet helps with any lift in rankings.
Does anyone have an infographic to explain how social media increases any lift in the SERP's. I just am not grasping how if I re tweet a link that the search enegines see this and say "this must be important" let rank it higher.. Where is the Social Media Moz Guru?

Yet another Google Plus One question: Does it affect ranking for people that you are NOT connected to?
Title pretty much explains it all. If lots of people plus one (the new verb of 2011?) a site, is that site deemed 'popular' and therefore will appear higher up the SERPS generally? Or does it only affect those with whom you are linked via Twitter/Facebook/Google+? Or is it too early to tell yet?

Have you had good experiences of ranking with retweets?
I was reading some seomoz posts last week and for a long time ago they are making some experiences with social medias. I agree that facebook share is more powerful than retweets but also is harder to get it. I would like to know if you have any GOOD experiences with Twitter or Facebook in your SEO campaigns. I got one: I got 20 retweets per day since last week, now my keyword is ranking at 2º positon. What about you? Thanks
