Moving domain.com to subdomain.domain.com

Hi,
I like to do something, but first like to take some opinions from seomoz.
My question is:
1. I have a domain: brandtrends.com and i like to move this from brandtrends.com to trends.brand.com because:
brandtrends.com is on the position #15 on the second page of SERP for my "brand" keyword.
I like to move it under trends.brand.com but all inbound-links are @brandtrends.com
What do you thing, if i move permanently 301 from brandtrends.com to trends.brand.com does it rank under brand.com on the 1st page of SERP..?
like to rank trends.brand.com under brand.com on results page...!!!
I have the backlinks of brandtrends.com on my hands too, should i leave the inbound links @brandtrends.com and the new ones i build with trends.brand.com or should i change the inbound links from brandtrends.com to trends.brand.com

I own the SERP for my brand name.
But i have lot of mini-domains like brandtrends.com
and my goal is, to increase the authority of my main domain, and make it more reputable, we write on different niche, we have journalists etc.. the content is completelty different and is completely white hat.
I think trends.brand.com maybe i can hire it under brand.com domain, on the top #5 of SERP.
What do you mean Davis? it's better to do this or not?
Because my mini-domain have PA:40 minimum, and if i have on subdomains, i think it would be better.

No. You should not split it into another domain (or subdomain). Having a slightly more specific domain name is not going to win you 15 more SERP positions. What does concern me is that you are not in the top 10 results for your brand name. Can you PM me your URL? I've never had a problem ranking a site in 30 days or less as #1 for it's brand name so something sounds off here.
If you did decide to do this anyway, a 301 would be the correct way to forward most of your link juice to the new subdomain. There is a very small amount lost (something like 1-9%) so if it is feasible for you to change your inbound links, you should.

Subdomain 403 error
Hi Everyone, A crawler from our SEO tool detects a 403 error from a link from our main domain to a a couple of subdomains. However, these subdomains are perfect accessibly. What could be the problem? Redirect multiple domains to 1 domain or not?
Hi there, I have client who has multiple domains that already have some PA and DA. Problem is that most websites have the same content and rank better on different keywords.

Question is if I redirect domain x to domain y do the rankings of domain x increase on domain y? Or is it better to keep domain x separately to generate more referral traffic to domain y? Hello, I launched few months ago minutedrone.com and i started to use moz to improve my SEO. I discovered that i have a hight spam score. 9/17 . What should i do to be not penalized on Google ? Where should i start ? The service is new so we only have DA : 10 PA : 19 and i'm not an expert in SEO

Is this a Risky Blog Move?
I have a client who's thinking of placing their blog on a separate domain because the plug-ins and various other functionality is becoming bulky and slowing things down for the main site. There will be a 'Blog' link on the company's website navigation, just as there is now, that will take people to the blog. As an SEO person, this seems like a bad idea, even if we set up 301s from all the old posts to all the new ones. In my research I came across these two points: All backlinks to blog posts contribute directly to a website’s OVERALL SEO strength because those backlinks are pointing to your main domain. Removing them may reduce overall link juice to the site. Simply having fewer content pages on the site will cause entire site to rank lower because Google loves content-rich authority sites. Does anyone know this to be true for sure? Thanks,

Domain Forwarding / Multiple Domain Names / or Rebuild Blogs on them
I am considering forwarding 3 very aged and valuable domain names to my main site. There were once over 100 blog posts on each blog and each one has a page authority of 45 and domain authority of 37. My question is should i put up three blogs on the domains and link them to my site or should i just forward the domains to my main site? Which will provide me with more value. I have the capability to have some one blog on them every day. However, i do not have access to any of the old blog posts. I guess i could scrape it of archive.org. Any advice would be appreciated. Two Sites - One Domain
I just want to be sure, but if I install a Wordpress blog in a subfolder of a HTML site, Google will see that as one site, not two different sites, correct? Even if there is two index files?

Duplicate Homepage: www.mysite.com/ and www.mysite.com/default.aspx
Hi, I have a question regarding our client's site, http://www.outsolve-hr.com/ on ASP.net. Google has indexed both www.outsolve-hr.com/ and www.outsolve-hr.com/default.aspx creating a duplicate content issue. We have added

Now, because www.outsolve-hr.com/ and www.outsolve-hr.com/default.aspx are the same page on the actual backend the code is on the http://www.outsolve-hr.com/ when I view the code from the page loaded in a brower. Is this a problem? Will Google penalize the site for having the rel=canonical on the actual homepage...the canonical url. We cannot do a 301 redirect from www.outsolve-hr.com/default.aspx to www.outsolve-hr.com/ because this causes an infinite loop because on the backend they are the same page. So my question is two-fold: Will Google penalize the site for having the rel=canonical on the actual homepage...the canonical url. Is the rel="canonical" the best solution to fix the duplicate homepage issue on ASP. And lastly, if Google has not indexed duplicate pages, such as https://www.outsolve-hr.com/DEFAULT.aspx, is it a problem that they exist? Thanks in advance for your knowledge and assistance. Amy0
