Can someone tell me the significance of the following items under my Competitive Domain Analysis? Total Links / Ext. Followed Links/ Linking Root Domains/ Followed Linking Root Domains and Linking C-Blocks? Also, what is the absolute best way to determine how many backlinks I have to my site?

I believe I can help.
Total Links - As the name suggests, this is the total number of links you have coming to your site. This includes followed and nofollowed links. Why is this significant? SEO research has shown a high correlation between total links to your site and rankings statistics. For example, the more authoritative links I have, the higher my domain authority is going to be, and the higher the likelihood will be for my pages to rank well.
Followed Links - There has been some debate about this, but essentially followed links are links which pass link juice on through to the linked to site. The number of followed links, much like total links, is shown to have a high correlation with rankings as well.
Linking Root Domains - This is the number of different root domains you have linking to your site. If this shows up as a 1, that means you only have 1 site (your own) that links to your site. If this shows up as 500, that means you have a large number of sites linking to yours, which search engines see as a positive signal that your site is being recommended and is worth reading by many different sources. This contributes highly to your domain authority.
Followed Linking Root Domains - Same explanation as above essentially.
Linking C-Blocks - This is another diversity type statistic. If you have a whole boatload of links from a few C-blocks (a subnet containing 256 IP addresses), that means that you don't have a lot of diversity across your link profile. However if you have these links spread across many many C-blocks, that means you have a lot of diversity and thus appear more trustworthy to search engines.
Determining Backlinks - I use Opensiteexplorer.org (awesome SEOMoz tool) and just set it to
-- Show "All" Links from "External Pages Only" to "All Pages on the Root Domain"
If you have a Pro account this will get you data for up to 10,000 links, which works for most small to medium sized sites.

How can I redirect incoming links from an old version of my site ending in .ctlg and .ivnu?
My original site was published in 2001 using "version 2" software from Ivenue, the hosting company that I signed up with at that time. The site's structure was built in such a way that the primary category pages ended in the extension .ivnu. Product or item pages on the shopping cart side ended in the extension .ctlg. My site's name was and is [Lamplight Feather, Inc.](<a class="webkit-html-attribute-value webkit-html-external-link" href="http://www.tonyhill.net/" target="_blank">http://www.tonyhill.net/</a>). We built our business between 2001 and 2011 and by the last three years (2009 - 2011) of using their version two were averaging a million dollars per year in gross sales. We decided to "upgrade" to Ivenue's "version 3" in 2011 to take advantage of some more modern options and because their newer software created web pages ending in .html which we thought more desirable. We made the switch in late 2011. But it was a disaster. Traffic and sales dropped precipitously. For the past two years (2012-2013) our annual gross sales average dropped to $400,000. (Two other factors were involved beside losing the many incoming links and link juice we had built up over the years: Panda came in that fall and my little niche market (decorative feathers) was flooded with competitors.) However as I try to rebuild our traffic and business little by little, I am stumped as to how to redirect the many incoming links that went to our first site's .ivnu and .ctlg pages. I have constructed redirects for some of our current but changed .html pages like this and put them in the file cabinet and they work: For (example): http://www.tonyhill.net/feathers_c384589.html then But trying the same thing for (example) http://www.tonyhill.net/craftfeathers.ivnu still returns a 404. Is there something I am missing. Ivenue is useless in this matter by the way. Their "technicians" are no help. I plan to be migrating my site once again to a new hosting company and hope to solve this problem before then. Why is my Domain Authority dropping from 52 to 46 but my Keyword ranking has never been higher?
At the start of August my Domain Authority was 52 but it has fallen to 46 over the course of 8 weeks. At first this was credited to the smaller index that SEOMOZ has taken and when this was certainly in line with our rivals results as well who all suffered a drop. When the index issue was fixed we did see an improvement, back up to 51 at the start of September, pretty much in line with all of our rivals. However our Domain Authority has dropped again and this time it is in complete isolation, none of our rivals have suffered anything like a 3 point drop. Our SEO has never been better with 65% of our keywords ranking in the top 3 and 86% ranking in the top 10. Im wondering what is causing this rapid drop in Domain Authority and what affect, if any, it was have on our future keyword rankings. Thanks, Emmet

Cross Domain Tracking
I want to track across domains, but also track as a virtual pageview anytime someone clicks on the link to another domain. So currently I have, for example: Checkout Now! As per Google's instructions, I need to have the link set to: Checkout Now! But this will obviously get rid of my virtual pageview. Is there a way I can do both?

How do you compare year-over-year keyword analysis without (Not Provided) screwing everything up?
We have a seasonal business. It is of no use to compare this month to last month or even this week to last week. The only real benchmark is to compare the same time period a year ago. I'd like to know how well I'm doing for a certain keyword. If I compare this month's performance to the same month's performance a year ago, I get corrupt results as much is now hidden in (Not Provided). Any solutions?

If a page bounces in the woods, can Google Panda hear it?
I have read that after the Panda update a site's bounce rate is an important ranking metric. However, can anyone confirm whether all pages count equally? For instance, my home page gets 5000% more traffic than Deep Page X. If Deep Page X has a poor bounce rate, does it matter as much as if my Homepage has a bad bounce rate? I am guessing not, but wanted to open it up for discussion. If not, it has me wondering on what to do for some of my database driven content. I have some dynamically created pages that have higher bounce rates and minimal unique content. They aren't pure spam or junk, but are likely only about 1% unique from one another. Sounds like a no brainer change post-Panda, right? Well, what if I was the only one targeting the keywords for these pages? The pages pull from info I stored on the U.S. government stimulus program (related to my industry). It then has just about every city, state and county combo in the country for my product. For instance, a page <title>might be "Flemington, NJ Widgets - Somerset County". Something that no one else is targeting and drives minimal traffic.</p> <p> </p> <p>Do I take this content down? I didn't have any affects, positive or negative from Panda, so I am hesitant to take down thousands of Google cached pages.</p></title>

Analytics, Traffic and Rankings. Something is wrong, can you answer it? ;-)
So I've been monitoring analytics to see where our clients are ranking for terms that have brought visitors to the site over the last month to find that the website isnt ranking in the top 100 for that keyword. What are your thoughts on this? Why do you think this could happen? One of the keywords has brough over 700 visitors in the last month yet is not in the top 100 for this term. I've also looked Google Webmaster Tools and have found that the exact same term hasn't had 700 impressions let alone 700 click throughs! Weird! Cheers, Sean
