Whats the most seo optimized websites?

I am guessing you are looking for sites to use as examples so you can emulate your site after them? Each site is unique for various reasons. In general I would recommend wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Sudan Things to notice:
-
the URL is not technology dependent (i.e. no .php or .html after the page name)
-
the URL matches the page's title
-
the URL is a flat structure
-
the page's title is a H1 tag and is the first content you see on the page
-
on most wiki pages, the very first words of the wiki article is the page's title. You will also see the page's title repeated several times throughout the article, and in various forms. In this example you see "South Sudan", "Southern Sudan", etc.
-
the wiki content uses consistent anchor text to link to other pages within the site. For example, anytime you see "landlocked country" in this wiki article, or any other one, it is a hyperlink to wiki's "landlocked country" page.
There are no hidden secrets here. It is about taking all of the SEO basics found in the Beginner's Guide to SEO, then applying them consistently throughout your site, along with providing great content which is up-to-date. If you do that, you will find your website on page 1 of search results.
I could also suggest the New York Times, http://www.nytimes.com/, but you cannot copy them as their methods will probably not work for you. For example, they have over 400 links on their home page. They have a DA and PA of 100, which allows them to support that many links. If you were to copy them thinking "well NYT does it and they are successful" it would simply not work for you.

Remember, SEO isn't everything. You can send all the right signals to the search engines to get people there, but you need to have the page optimized for converting the user to do your desired action. So a site may be well optimized for search engines, but it might not necessarily do your business any good.

If you get the PageRank plugin for Firefox, you can check out the ranking of a lot of sites out there on the web. I try to glean insights from cnn.com; they seem to rank really well and craft stories and pages in a way that gets pinged frequently from SEs.

How much website would be worth for SEO?
I have a website that I'm considering selling. It gives no profit, but I think it has decent SEO value. Link explorer report: domain authority = 69, linking domains: 9.8k, inbound links: 44.2m, ranking keywords: 294. Is that any good? Website is about web design, so keywords are also related to it. Would it be useful for SEO links building for other people? I did sell similar website once, but it was about 7-8 years ago and I've sold it for very high 5 digit amount. However things have changed since then in SEO world, so I don't know if today similar website would be worth much. There is so much information out there that contradicts each other, so I think I'd rather ask professionals here.

How would changing every title tag on your site at once affect SEO?
We are moving our website to a new CMS, and working with a vendor who would like to change the title tags from the current format to a breadcrumb structure. Our fear is that this may negatively impact the current optimization efforts in place. Our current title tags are a mixed bag of good, bad and neutral, but some have been optimized for best practices. Does anyone have any insight on the effect we would see if everything were changed at once, or any suggestions on how we could test this before we launch the "new" site? Thanks!

How to track in Google Analytics 2 different subdomains (one for website, the other for PPC landing pages)
Hello Mozers! I have a website with organic visits/goals on www.site.com and a few AdWords Campaign landing pages on lp.site.com whose goals are tracked with both adwords conversion monitoring AND analytics (not imported from analytics into Adword). The landing pages of the campaign have nothing to do with the web site (different cms, they don't link each other, totally isolated) and viceversa. Given that, what would it be the best practice to configure Google Analytics to track the website (www.site.com) AND a PPC campagin (lp.site.com)? I have been told to set up different views of the same property, but do I really need that? Please let me know what are you thinking. Thank you very much. DoMiSoL Rossini

What is the SEO value of Thomasnet
Ok, the company I work for has had a paid listing on Thomasnet.com. This was started long before I took over the marketing. We get no real value from Thomasnet, just a lot of solicitation for unrelated things. And my company has been paying $15,000 a year for this listing. Thomasnet is a huge waste of money and I want to cancel it. The problem is that I do not have a good understanding of the link value from Thomasnet. They have a high domain authority and we have a good number of links from them because we pay for the listing. If we stop paying, those links go away and I am afraid it will hurt us in our rankings. Any insights? Thanks!

I need monthly SEO help!
Hello, I'm new here, but a HUGE fan of SEOmoz and their working principles. I need someone who would have the same regard for SEOmoz and a healthy respect for safe SEO principles to help me with my monthly clients. Is this the place to post about my need or should I take it to the jobs area? Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Does anyone do SEO for a % of sales?
I am the CEO of a small company ( 33 employees in Jacksonville, FL ) We have a family of websites that sell office products - we are the manufacture we have a staff of 3 in the website dept - but with 10 active sites its alot of work. We are launching a new site this week and need to do some SEO for the site .. Since this new site has no sales - i want to see if there is someone that will work based on a % of sales - say 10% of sales for 18 months - Here are my thoughts : Option A: - go out and get a "package" for say $5000 and have SEO done and hope it proves results Option B: - partner with someone and give them 10% of sales the site produces - so if we can grow it to $1M in sales - that person could make $100K off the site - ( our competition is a $20M + site) Some would say that im crazy and it might cost me $100K -i like it because we are all on the same page and i pay for results - not promises. Thoughts?

PPC + SEO - Both well ranked, which penalty if there's any.
Hello everyone, I have a doubt about the PPC and SEO. For example if i rank at first page ( something like 5th position ) for one specific keyword, and then I decide to add this keyword to my PPC campaign. My 5th rank will be penalized by google if i buy the PPC keyword ? Thanks.

What is the effect of a proxy server replicating a sight on SEO
I have heard of PPC company's that set up a proxy server to replicate your site so that they can use their own tracking methods for their reports. What affect if any does this have on SEO for a site?
