HTML Not Validating META Title??!!
-
This seems pretty odd to me. HTML 5 is not validating lots of the typical META content - including, amongst others, the META title. This is typically seen as a standard 'must-have' for many SEOs, including the check-list on SEOmoz.
Has anybody else had this issue? And of course, did you find a solution?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Kyle,
Thanks for your resopnse. The <title>validates no problem. It is the <meta name="title" content="etaojfopahfopasjfio" /> that does not validate. I realise this is depreciated, however I still think it is important to include surely?</p></title>

Well the reason i asked to see an example was to ensure that you had the correct doc type and markup for the title tag. I may be just misunderstanding you, but the title tag is not a META tag. It is its own tag all together for instance:
<title>HTML5 Exampletitle> Instead of the depreciated tag:

Hi Kyle,
I'm afraid the site is currently in the test area and I can't reveal it until it's finished. To be fair, you don't really need to see it - HTML 5 validation says that meta title etc is not valid. The code for the meta was even copied and pasted directly from the old site, as that will not be changing in the new design. Whereas the other site validates 100%, the new one built in HTML 5 doesn't.
Strange... and annoying! Are they really killing this content off?

How to implement meta descriptions for accelerated mobile pages with WordPress?
Is there a way in which meta descriptions can be altered on AMP pages? The meta description is not pulling from the original page for each post, and current plugins such as Yoast/Glue for Yoast & AMP by Automattic do not appear to offer customisation of titles/meta descriptions. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Is it ok to repeat part of a meta-description across multiple pages?
For example, what if I was to conclude each meta-description tag with the line... "Free shipping for orders over $90." The rest of the meta-description tag on every page is unique, but the last sentence would be the same or at least similar. Thoughts?
