Anybody use Twibbon to promote a website/cause/event?
-
I stumbled across Twibbon today - it's a service that basically creates an easy way for you to brand your Twitter/Facebook pictures, and to allow others to promote your cause as well.
I'm not sure if I'm late to get on board here or if this is a relatively new thing, but it seems pretty cool. I can definitely see this really working out for promoting philanthropic causes. It would also work really well for events - imagine if every speaker at an SEO conference used Twibbon to brand their Twitter/Facebook? I think it would really help with branding, for both individuals and businesses.

Cool! I'm primarily concerned with for-profit uses, so that's great to know. I'll definitely check it out. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Finally a PRO question, I can answer
My org only does marketing for nonprofits and uses this a ton. The impact can be big, but it won't last long, so it's best to start with a bang around a major event, a holiday, etc and then not belabor it for too long.
I can't recall if they have this case study on their site or if you need to have them send it, but check out their World Cup case study. It's for profit of course, but it's kind of cool how twibbon was used to grow their audience.

Ah, good to know. I found this because my old fraternity (yeah, yeah, shutup) at Rutgers has all of their pledges using it, which I thought was super creative and a great idea to brand themselves on campus. These kids are getting smart!

Old as the hills (well, couple of years old).
I used it to promote a site's first birthday celebrations on Twitter and Facebook. Got a decent take up on Twitter and a few on Facebook, but I don't see a lot of people using it these days.

Thanks for sharing, this looks awesome!

How to measure adwords campaing success on an non ecommerce/leads website
Hello,
Branding | | teconsite
We have a website of a furniture company that runs an Adwords campaign. This company has a lot of distributors. They have several objetives: people explore the online catalog people visit the distributor page (where they can find the nearest distributor in his/her area) people share the pictures and info in social media. (For example: pictures in pinterest) people watch videos new distributors contact them to be a new distributor and so on. As this is not an eccommerce website they can not buy We have created objectives in analytics to meassure those engament results.
My question is how to measure this in Google Adwords...
If I import GA objetives into adwords, I get conversions rates of 350% and even more, and the number of conversions is to high. For example. If one objetive is to visit Distributors page (the one where users can see a map and search for the nearest distributor), I find with a lot of conversions of this type. I was thinking in importing some objectives and giving them a value in $ and instead of evaluating conversion rates, evaluate ROAS. But I really would like to know, what you are doing with this kind of companies. How do you measure the campaign success when most of the objetives are measuring engagement. Please, could you give me any advice? Thank you!0 -
Merging Websites
My company like many other in the 2000's created a stand alone site for a product to better rank. It did well for a long time and still does for that niche market. However the CMS is old and beginning to break so I am trying to convince my bosses that we do not need a stand alone site for a niche product and that it can be merged back into the main branded website. I do not think we need to manage an entire separate website that receives <5,000 visitors a year when we could still have that niche rank well on a site that receives that many visitors a month Is their some sources for me to site that can support my argument? Or am I wrong and we can should leave up a stand alone niche product site.

I have a company with multiple locations through out the US and I am trying to figure out the best way to use Google+ and Facebook.
Should I create separate pages for each location or should I create one account and add all my locations to that account?

Can we use SEOMOZ to get insights/data on the members of a twitter list?
It would be so useful if we could get insights into the members of a twitter list in the same way we can get statistics on the people we search through the "search twitter bio" options (following/followers/RTs/Social Authority/etc). This is possible through the twitter api but it limits to 20 list member which is useless. Anyone know of a solution? Thanks!

Hotel website domain
I work on a project for a hotel website and look up domain names right now. But I am now not sure wether I should go for a branding of the hotel name in the domain name (e.g. "bellavistahotel.com") or pick the location ("berlinhotel.com") or a mix (e.g. "bellavistaberlin.com). What would be your recommendation? The content (text, photos, videos) I have is a lot about the location and the hotel itself. I want to connect the Hotel page afterwards with Knowem to hundreds of social networks. My tendency is to go for a branding. Is that a good idea? Thanks for the help.

Blog - separate domain or current website?
I have created a business blog purely to gain higher rankings for particular keywords which then has links pointing to the product that I am trying to sell. My question... Is it better to have this blog hosted on the same domain or shall I move it to a separate domain which will help with backlinks? Any advice would be appreciated?

How to "Cause" a google alert
Hello Everyone, I'm just wondering, is there a quick and good way to actually cause a google alert for a keyword? I'm thinking of a press release, but there must be several other ways as well. I look forward to your response. Thanks!
