Why is there such a difference between Open Site Explorer and Domain Analysis?
-
When I look at my links in the Competitive Domain Analysis and I see I have 113,018 Ext followed links but Open Site Explorer shows 3,148. Why is there such a difference?
In addition, is there a way to view the External Followed links? I want to see where these 113,018 links are coming from.
Thanks,
Josh

It sounds like you are examining two different link metrics. Is it possible you are looking at "linking root domains" or another metric in OSE? Another possibility is in OSE you are looking at links to the page but the other tool is showing links to the domain.
In addition, is there a way to view the External Followed links? I want to see where these 113,018 links are coming from.
From your Mozbar you can click on the link total and your OSE page will open. Alternatively you can navigate to OpenSiteExplorer.org and see a breakdown of your links.

Any reason why an OSE spam Score is different for www and non-www versions of a site?
When checking the root domain links and DA in OSE pasted a non-www URL of my site and showed up with a spam score of 9. When I pasted the www. version it showed none. Does anyone think this is a cause for concern or just a bug?

Rogerbot did not crawl my site ! What might be the problem?
When I saw the new crawl for my site I wondered why there are no errors, no warning and 0 notices anymore. Then I saw that only 1 page was crawled. There are no Error Messages or webmasters Tools also did not report anything about crawling problems. What might be the problem? thanks for any tips!

Open Site Explorer and Escaped Fragments
Does OSE have the ability to crawl AJAX pages utilizing Google's escaped fragment directive? I ask because I'm seeing all our AJAX built pages returning HTTP status codes of 404 when I run OSE reports. See for yourself

Open Site Explorer Twitter Stats
Hi, I have just noticed something within Open Site Explorer. On the page it says it draws the Twitter stats from tweetmeme. I have just noticed that tweetmeme have shut down. Their new product datasift seems to do the same thing, but can someone confirm if SEOMoz is drawing data from them now, or is the current twitter data shown not fully up to date. Its not a major issue, its just something I noticed. Thanks Rich

Competitive analysis of inbound links
I am trying to figure out how to best use SeoMoz tools to do some competitive analysis of inbound links. With the site explorer tool I can "compare Link Metrics" I see that a competitor is beating me on External Followed Links and Total Linking Root domains. I want to dig further into this data and see how these are distributed. What I am really after is which root domains are sending them the most links. Knowing that 20k of their links are coming from 5 specific root urls would be great to know. Is there anywhere that I can see this data. Ideal column headers would be: Linking Root Domain of Followed Links (from this root domain) Linking Domain Authority The ability to drill down from there into specific links would be mind blowing. Is there any way to browse this type of data in SeoMoz?

Domain Name Portfolio Management?
I am looking for some software, or an excel spreadsheet, or some way to manage 50-100 domain names. Maybe something a reseller of domain names would use? Something that keeps record of different whois information for different domain names, tracks IPs, nameservers, FTP logins, etc... I think excel would be best for this if there was a way to have the expiration date pulled so I dont forget to renew a domain name by mistake, and so I can easily keep track of them all in one place. I have seen a couple software programs out there for this, but none really meet all the needs I have. I also looked into some kinda database software with a nice GUI (MS Access, or FileMakerPro) but I dont know them software well. Any Ideas?
