Value of PDF's in SEO

I have a client who has a lot of information in PDF form. They think they should move some of it over into HTML pages so it indexes better. Is there a benefit to converting these PDF's into HTML pages? It seems to me that HTML pages would be good, IF they are relevant pages that could be used online.

Google can read text in PDFs. However there is a huge amount of information useful for SEO that can't be added to a PDF. I would convert all PDFs to HTML and then 301 the PDFs to the new HTML content.
It's incredibly worth while doing.

As far as I understand crawl can't understand what kind of information PDF has, after converting to HTML crawls will be able to read it and rank it.

Reason for asking is Moz reports them as URL too long. Should these even be indexed by google if not, how do I hide them? How updating a post can influence seo
I have just read this great post from moz blog: http://moz.com/blog/google-fresh-factor But I haven't found nothing about updating post date. If I edit an old great post (now ranked 2nd after several months in 1st serp position) does it be better if I also update the date of the post in the wordpress post edit page? Neglected Blog SEO help
I am wedding & sports photographer in San Antonio. I've been busy with photographing sports (lots of them) & totally neglected SEO work for nearly 2 years. I know it's a broad question but what is the best way to get back on track? Should I create a strong landing page with keyword wedding photographer? Should i make separate websites - one for weddings, one for sports? Is PPC good way to jump start? Do I have website structure problems etc? If anyone can comment, that would be great. How to Structure URL's for Multiple Locations
We are currently undergoing a site redesign and are trying to figure out the best way to structure the URL's and breadcrumbs for our many locations. We currently have 60 locations nationwide and our URL structure is as follows: www.mydomain.com/locations/{location} Where {location} is the specific street the location is on or the neighborhood the location is in. (i.e. www.mydomain.com/locations/waterford-lakes) The issue is, {location} is usually too specific and is not a broad enough keyword. The location "Waterford-Lakes" is in Orlando and "Orlando" is the important keyword, not " Waterford Lakes". To address this, we want to introduce state and city pages. Each state and city page would link to each location within that state or city (i.e. an Orlando page with links to "Waterford Lakes", "Lake Nona", "South Orlando", etc.). The question is how to structure this. Option 1 Use the our existing URL and breadcrumb structure (www.mydomain.com/locations/{location}) and add state and city pages outside the URL path: www.mydomain.com/{area} www.mydomain.com/{state} Option 2 Build the city and state pages into the URL and breadcrumb path: www.mydomain.com/locations/{state}/{area}/{location} (i.e www.mydomain.com/locations/fl/orlando/waterford-lakes) Any insight is much appreciated. SEO and multilanguage site
Hi all! I have used a wordpress plugin called WPML which translates a webpage into another language so that I have a webpage in two different languages (spanish (main market) and english). I'm just doing the seo for the spanish market and I'm gonna start with the seo for the english one. Should I do it just the same as I had a one-single-language page? just with english keywords, etc. I guessit would only differ in the way I do the linkbuilding strategy as the markets are different Thanks

How can I maintain my website's authroity if I change the domain name?
I have 2 sites. Site A is doing well and growing, but has a low Domain Authority. Site B is older, has a higher authority but I want to retire it as the site's topic is well dated. Can I move all of my content on site A, to site B, change site B's name to Site A's name keep its higher authority and add all of the content and 301 redirect from site A to site B?
