How to find article sites that will be very picky

I'd like to write good, unique content, and one of the places i was looking at was article repositories. I do understand that most of them have been spammed to death, but I was wondering how I would go about finding ones that would accept my article. I do realize that niche news/forum/informational sites are probably my best bet. Beyond that, would would be a step down or a 'general' article directory where I could get something approved and post content that is high quality. I'm not sure I have time to go around to every niche site and make the handshakes necessary at this time.

I don't think you will have trouble getting your articles accepted within the directories if you are writing unique, quality content. Ezinearticles.com is probably the best know. I have also used morestar.ca; it's a nice PR4 article directory. I do find most of them are a little too full of 'how to whiten your teeth" articles, but if YOur article is read and gets picked up and syndicated, that's all that matters, right? I would try ezinearticles.com first.

Subdomain or no subdomain ? About location of a special page on the site
I have a blog on interior decoration and I have made a Wordpress Plugin which is not at all related to the niche of my blog...I have created this plugin in the hope that I might get backlinks due to this...but am not sure whether I should keep the plugin documentation page on some page of the blog itself like www.example.com/blog/plugin-page/ or on some subdomain like plugin-page.example.com

Great Article - Where do i publish it
I have just completed a great article (relating to advertising). I have a predicament, where do I post it? Do I contact sites related to the industry with high pr's and authority, to see if they want to feature the article? This will provide great anchor text links from the high pr site in question. Or do i submit to article directories? Or do i simply place the article on my site, and get people to link to it? I need help!!!! Thanks in advance. P.S. I'm a newbie (I'm sure you can tell)

Risks with sharing my original content with other sites
We write our own unique content to our blog a few times a week. The content is written by professionals (doctors and such) and carries a bit of authority. We periodically get requests from other websites who want to post our content on their blog. We also find that some people will just go ahead and use our exact content (often with a link attribution), without asking permission. Is there any risk of us not getting credit for being the original source of the content if others use it in its entirety?Are there other risks? And more importantly, what should we do to make sure we're getting the SEO credit we deserve? Some ideas which have been discussed that may or may not have credence: Only let others use the exact content well after we've been crawled, so we'll be seen as the first publisher Only let people cite the introductory paragraph, with a link allowing them to read more at our site (with good anchor text) Require people to summarize our story, with a link for the full story Any thoughts would be appreciated. Links from Related Sites with Low PR or semi-related sites with High PR?
Is it better to get a link from a site with lower PR but related content or higher PR but semi-related or unrelated content? For example, if I sell shoes, would a link from a PR1 or PR2 shoe or apparel site be better or a link from PR4 website that sells books be better? I'm not talking about sites with completely unrelated content, but how relevant is PR in obtaining relevant links if I am trying to raise the PR and rankings of my own site?
