Quantity of Internal Followed Links
-
We compared our and competitor pages.
And we have got next statistics:
Internal Followed Links: 184 4,496
We are thinking about changing our shopping cart links format from
/product_info.php?products_id=3547 to /product_name.html
This should increase "number of our pages" and "number of links" from them.
But in case a description of products from the same category often is very similar. We worry about duplicating page content.Could you give any advice in that situation? Do Internal Links play a big role in page rank?
Thanks.
PS: at attached image you can find full page metrics from open site explorer. Our metrics are at left, competitors - right.

There s a lot yopu can do with internal links including giving relevance to a page and pushing your PR aound the site. you can not increase the sites PR by internal linking, but you can make some pages rank higher at the exspence of others.

Just like external links are little votes from outside sources of what is an important article on your website, internal links are your little voting system. It's your way of telling Google/Bing what your page is about, and how important it is. So, you are going to want more internal links pointing at your important (money making) pages than something like a disclaimer.
However, you have to put these internal links in perspective of your other pages. If one of your pages has 2000 links, and then next highest is 20, you should look at balancing it out a little.

Old links that need to be removed
We are having a problem trying to get rid of old links that have been removed from a website that no longer exists. See links below-There are several more that we need to deal with. We have tried putting them into Google Search Console, but they keep reappearing with Moz. Since our new website is hosted on Hubspot now and not on WordPress, which these links are referring to, we are trying to determine how to remove them from being indexed since they don't exist anymore? http://intouch-marketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/mas.png

Link Profile - What is Good or Bad?
How can I tell (using Moz tools) which links are okay or not? Looking at them, some are clearly just for rank, but are they worth my effort in removing them? And, if I remove a bunch of links suddenly, will Google penalize me? And how do I know if my link profile is to blame? My site was ranking pretty well in June and has steadily fallen around 4-5 spots across all of my keywords. Some of my competitors without as good of DA, PA and links are outranking me.

Is there an external tool to check for Link Balance profile (anchor text)?
Hi, Regarding the topic of Link Balance (anchor text from external sites). Is there an external tool you can point to your site or an individual URL that can give you the link balance (branded terms, exact match etc). This article is great:
Moz Pro | | STL
http://moz.com/blog/anchor-text-distribution-avoiding-over-optimization But it's a lot of work to do for individual pages (of which we have many). Just trying to see if there's a tool out there (Moz or otherwise), that can report on such balance on a page-by-page basis (paste in URL, hit 'Go'). Thanks.

I am trying to find inbound links for one of my site urls. My question is does SEOMoz able to track all internal links as the Open Site Explorer shows 0 internal links?
It shows 0 internal links when I am pretty sure we have multiple internal links.Should we use absolute urls or relative urls for internal links?

Internal link question - compared with my competitors
Dear all, I started to working on SEO on my website http://www.techstation.it and I have some thing that I would clarify. I see a lot of differences between internal links of my website and my competitors that usually are placed a bit better. (Please check attached image). They have A LOT of internal links, about 2.000+ instead 137 (mine), that's wrong in my SEOMOz dashboard. Every news and article page has 120-130 links to other contents. About teh external followed links: Mine: 1,674 #1: 2,018 #2: 316 (????) - this is placed really good for some competitive keywords #3 (best ranked): 7,905 links I have two more points that I would fix: Articles ranking We were one of the first 5-6 website that published at the launch day the review of Intel Core i7 3960X CPU and started with a ranking in the last first page results, a few days alter in the second and now we are at the end of the second page. This happens .. I think... every time 😕 All my article pages are graded with "A grade" in the control panel. So what should I do for increase my rankings? Thank you very much in advance! Alex

Can someone explain why I have been seeing an increase in the number of Linking Page URLs in OSE that link directly to downloads?
Ever since the last couple Linkscape updates when doing competitive back link analysis I have noticed a large increase in the number of URLs of Linking Pages in OSE that result in an immediate file download. The majority of the time these downloads are not common files ie PDF, DOC files. For example, these were all in a competitors back link profile: http://download.unesp.br/linux/debian/pool/main/i/isc-dhcp/isc-dhcp-relay-dbg_4.1.1-P1-17_ia64.deb http://snow.fmi.fi/data/20090210_eurasia_sd_025grid.mat http://www.rose-hulman.edu/class/me/HTML/ES204_0708_S/working model examples/Le25 mad hatter.wm?a=p&id=145880&g=5&p=sia&date=iso&o=ajgrep These are just a few I came across for a single competitor. Is this sketchy black hat SEO, some sort of error, actual links, or something else? Any information on this subject would be helpful. Thank you.

Which would you chose? Link on PA56 with 88 OBL's and 80 IBL's or a link on a PA75 with 225 OBL's & 40 IBL (Same Domain)
Which would you chose? Link on PA56 with 88 OBL's and 80 IBL's or a link on a PA75 with 225 OBL's & 40 IBL (Same Domain) Pretty self explanatory. I want to know what metrics SEOMozzers rely on most. If you are not an expert at evaluating links for large scale development please don't muddy the waters on this question with a thin and vague answer.
