404 link | How to remove the link so it is not found?

My report has listed a few links with 404 errors. They are internal links but are not found. Is there a way to remove that link so it is not found again?

Yes remove any link pointing to it, if you do that it will eventually fall from the index, but will take some time.
If you have an external link pointing to it then it will not go away while that link exists, but in those circumstances you need to and want to 301 it to a relative page -
For example if I had a site address as www.bad404link.com/wanttodelete/ and it went to a 404 page, is there a way to remove that page? So that search engines do not find it?

Not sure what you mean, but if you give us a url, i can find the 404s for you

I am trying to figure out internal linking. Please help me. Your "root domain" (the top level example.com) is the easiest to rank on a SERP. When you build Page Rank on this page, you want to make sure the majority of the PR goes into internal pages that matter. To do this you determine what internal pages are most important and put them on the menu bar. You then link to these pages in the body text, or via side bars. This will ensure that the PR is flowing from the root domain into the internal pages multiple times. The second part is to link from these secondary pages back to the main page. Correct? See example: car rental - sedans - bmw car rental - sedans - audi car rental - sedans - ford (internal links to sedans - audi, ford) or (internal links to suv - bmw) car rental - suv - bmw car rental - suv - audi car rental - suv - ford (internal links to suv- audi, ford) or (internal links to sedans- bmw...) Should I cross link only between the product page under each category or can I link between different products under different categories? From a user point of view, I think it will give him more options if he wants to choose the same brand but a bigger vehicle although I have read numerous posts saying that we should be internally linking most of the time within the same category. User experience or SEO?

Nofollowed internal links from the home page
Hi, I'm conducting an on-page review for someone and have noticed something I've not seen before. Some of the major internal links from the home page are marked as no follow. For example: <a <span="">href</a><a <span="">="</a>/customer-services" rel="nofollow">Customer Services This is on the top navigation bar and the content in this and all other sections are marked as no-follow but they should all be crawled. Is this an error or am I missing something? Any ideas guys? Thanks Bush
