One site with one product or multi product website

Lets suppose that i have 10 NICHE products under me. Should i make one site for each product or one site overall.
If i make 1 site for each product i get several advantages

Domain name has keyword
-
Title tags etc will be dedicated to one keyword only.
Disavantage - Backlinking for each domain will become tougher.
Advantage of one site onl

Good management
-
Seo / backlinks becomes easier
-
Blogging to attract traffic becomes easier
-
Can target a lot of keywords through business blogging
Disadvantages
- Can become messy with unimportant keywords gaining importance.
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK??? One site per product or One site for all products?

No.. All the products are related and they wall under the same product category. I guess u are right. By starting separate websites, i can miss reference business as well. As in a customer needing one product, might just need another as well.

A variety of products can rank well if they are well SEO'd.
If the products are related I'd put them together on one site. If they were ten totally unrelated products - for example, toe scratchers and garden gnomes, I'd be more inclined to create 10 sites. After all, you'll want to incorporate social media and develop content for your potential customers that is relevant or related to the products you are selling.

It definitely helped. I was gonna go that with the primary seo strategy. But then i was confused whether i shud have one product specific domain itself. Lets c. Will try this strategy and i think it should work.

You can have a website architecture like:
domain.com/productnamespecifickeyword.html
- okay you will need to optimize that one 
and then target productnamespecifickeyword.html with links which have productnamespecifickeyword as anchor text

Thanks a lot for the answer. But if i have multi products in one domain, will all the keywords rank high??? As in i want to rank high for 10 keywords on the same domain, should i change the anchor text during backlinking?

Hi Hitesh,
I would go for one domain.
Creating a lot of mini-sites maybe will help you in short term... BUT if you are going for long term, then you should focus on creating a larger websites. Focus on creating 1 page for each product and target it to the specific page.
With less effort you can benefit of link building for one domain. Don't forget to do a keyword mapping.

We did a new site launch on Feb 7th this year - www.vesternet.com It changed from Magento 1 to Magento 2. We had some launch issues around SEO but now we've solved most every crawler issue in Moz reporting - according to Moz we're in better shape on-site than ever. Redirect closing established site to another established site.
We have 2 ecommerce websites with duplicate product/category content that have been around for years. "Site A" since 2004 and "Site B" since 2011. "Site B" doesn't generate many sells and we want to close the site in fear that it may look spammy to google and since we don't want to upkeep the site. Couple questions:

1. Is it possible that "Site B" has damaged "Site A" with google since they are so similar?
2. Can i 301 redirect all of "Site B" to "Site A" without hurting "Site A"?

What is the best way to target two keywords with one website?
I have a client that needs to target two different citys for her service. I have her front page ranking first page for one of the cities, but I have tried all sorts of things and can't get her front page to rank first page in the second (and less competitive) city. I know the drill about making a second page and trying to rank that page but is there a better way?

Site restructure question
Our site was deigned years ago to target customers in specific cities, now we've grown beyond this and I believe it is time to change the site structure.

Ignore the 302 from the root page. Current structure: (assuming you've never been to our site before) projectmanagementacademy.net 302->/select-location.php /select-location.php -> /city-name/pmp-training.php This page was meant to be a "homepage" for each city, pointless page really /city-name/pmp-training.php -> /ciy-name/product-name.php These pages are for each individual product My suggested site structure: /city-name/pmp-training.php becomes projectmanagementacademy.net no more redirect /city-name/pmp-training.php gets removed and 301 to root page. /product-name.php each product's page and you would select a location when necessary (some products are online only) would 301 each /city-name/product-name to corresponding product page /product-name/city-name.php could add these pages if we still wanted the city name in url for city specific products My thoughts here are /product-name.php would receive a higher % of link juice because there are fewer page between 2 vs 4 if you came to the root page. and 2 vs 3 if you came from the select-location page. Also instead of being split between over 50 locations, all these would be together on one page. Your thoughts? Would this change improve our SERP for those product pages? Would we see a drop off in traffic if we did this? How long, if done correctly, would it take to see the recovery of rankings and traffic? Could we 301 /select-location.php to the root page? Website redesign: site going from .php to .html
A site I'm working on is being redesigned because the current platform does not allow for content to be changed easily. In the process, they are going from .php to .html. I am concerned about their losing link juice. Can a site work with the old content remaining .php and the new content being .html or should all pages stay .php?

Moving a site as a folder of existing one
We have the following case: Site A with domain authority 65 and 2,750 linking root domains (139K total links) and Site B with domain authority 68 and 1,336 linking root domains (38K total links) There's a suggestion to move Site A as a folder of Site B so it becomes something like this: domainB.com/domainA using 301 redirects for the existing domain A. We'd like to better understand what such move will result in. I imagine at first Site A will drop in rankings, but after that will it be better for it to be under Site B domain? Also, moving all the pages a step behind in the URL path may slightly affect their rankings. What do you think? Would you move Site A or leave it as a separate domain? I understand there can't be an exact estimation what will happen, but I'll appreciate your thoughts.
