Why does Magento Admin show 39,000 records (database only has 5000 products)

Can anyone please help me understand why my Magento admin shows over 39,000 records but i only have 5,000 products on my site?
I am really struggling with trying to figure out how this happened.

We don't have too many Magento people in here, and I myself don't have any experience with it. However, a couple of things to look at. First, can you do a spot check of those records and see if they are all product records, or if some of them are transaction records? Are some of them maybe expired products? Or options on products such as color or size?

Multiple listings for the same product - how to avoid duplication?
Hi everyone, We are working on an e-commerce site that has three different physical stores that each hold different products in stock. A listing is created on the website for each product in each location but if the same product is in all three stores the images and description are duplicate content We can't have one product page and tag locations to it as this would then require keeping two different stock systems updated, but is there a way to avoid the three pages being duplicates of each other? Multiply pages of similair subject not showing up in serps?
Hi, I have a website with a lot of similair subjects. Its a website with around 1000s pages.

For example this website is about "cars" so I wrote a pages about: Green classy cars
Green cars for the summer
Green car show 2013 What happens is that on the query of "Green car show". The page green classy cars shows up. I have the feeling that google takes one page about a similair subject and only put on in the serps. I checked this on multiply pages and this seems the case. If I search on exact "Green car show 2013" + MY URL, still then its shows indexed but only position 4. Places 1,2,3 shows again other pages of my website with similair subject. Now my feeling says the other pages have more authority and thats why they show up higher. But then...again now all the content Im adding it isnt showing up.. The last months I added around 300 pages and I did not got one visitor more daily and I have the feeling it is because it are all similair pages and google does not want to show them. My question is: Is their something I can still make them show up? Because they do have all 100% unique content and 100% unique images they only have similair subjects. or Is their some way I can tell Google that his are really different pages, so this would maybe help?0 -
WordPress Guest Post Admin Access?
Is there a plugin or function in WordPress for a guest poster to just get admin access to control comments? Example: Big Brand X writes a guest post on www.yoursite.com. Big Brand X wants admin access to approve or delete comments on their guest on www.yoursite.com. Big Brand X doesn't want access to edit their guest post or any other post on www.yoursite.com, they just want admin access to manage the comments on their guest post. Is this possible? How do I get the correct picture to show up in the SERPs?
When I search for "Popular Baby Names" using Google UK, I get the image below that is clearly displaying the wrong picture. I believe they are coming from a module on the page in the left rail. I know I can use Robots.txt to have Google not show the image at all, but I don't want to impact my click through. What is the best way to have the search engine either not display an image that is not part of the resulting article or better yet, pick the right image. |

Where in my wordpress admin panel do I add the .
Having read Rand's post about the canonical tag I very much wish to use it to advise Google that the duplicates created during archiving (due to the fact that the posts have multiple categories) are just copies. I understand the theory, but can't transfer it into practice! Could someone give me an idiots guide as to how to add the tag and to where. My site produces approx 10 - 20 blog posts per week. Each has at least 2-4 categories applied to it. They are archived each month, at which point I have a big jump in duplicates in my campaign panel. Help! C:\Users\Catherine\Desktop\me_small.gif
