URLs getting re-directed to double http:// URLs
-
The "Notices" section under "Crawl Diagnostics" shows that there are 435 issues on my website. I checked out a few URLs to verify this issue and found that most of these pages are working perfectly. For instance, the above mentioned report shows that
http://policycomplaints.com/about
redirects to
http://http://policycomplaints.com/about/ .
Then,
http://policycomplaints.com/aegon-religare/mis-selling-of-policy-by-aegon-religare/
redirects to
http://http://policycomplaints.com/aegon-religare/mis-selling-of-policy-by-aegon-religare/ .
However, when I open these pages, they seem to be working perfectly. I didn't find them getting re-directed to somewhere else. So, as per the report, it seems that all of these 435 http://URLs are getting re-directed to http://http://URL versions which in reality is not true because all the http://URLs are working perfectly. So, is this a problem with SEOmoz software? If not, what is the reason for these issues and how can I adddress them.
Do notify if any further information is required for the same.
Thanks.

I got to know that this does not affect the website ranking adversely. Secondly, it's reflected under notices and not under errors or warnings.

Hi,
I see this also.
What was the outcome?
Thank you

Thanks... Shall raise a ticket/shoot a mail to SEOmoz support... But it's quite strange to see that presumably this bug was not pointed out earlier... Many websites might be having this issue.

Hi,
I do believe this is a bug with the SEOmoz software and that your site is fine. Could you please email help@seomoz.org and open up a ticket there so they can help track this down? Sadly, Q&A is a separate system and I can't auto-magically move this thread over. Thanks so much, and sorry for the problem.
Keri

Is www.domain.com/page the same url as www.domain.com/page/ for Google? (extra slash at end of url)
Dear all, in open site explorer there is a difference the url's 'www.domain.com/page' and 'www.domain.com/page/' (extra slash at end). There can be different values in pageauthority etc. in the open site explorer tool, but is this also the case for Google? Thanks for replying, Regards, Ben

1 week has passed: Crawled pages still N/A
Roughly one week ago I went pro, and then I created a campaing for the smallish webshop that I'm employed at, however it doesn't seem to crawl. I've check our visitors log and while we find other bots such as google, bing, yandex and so fourth, seomoz bot hasn't been visible. Perhaps I'm looking for a normal useragent, ohwell, onwards. While I thought it might take time, as a small test I added a domain that I've owned for sometime but don't really use, that target site is only 17 pages, now this site was crawled almost within the hour, and I realised that our ~5000pages on the main campaing would take some time, but wouldn't the initial 250 pages be crawled by now? I should add, that I didn't add http:// to the original Campaing, but the one that got crawled I did. I cannot seem to change this myself inorder to spot if that's the problem or not. Anyone has any ideas, should I just wait or is there something I can activly do to force it to start rolling?

I get 401 Your authentication failed, my application has worked for 2 years.
I have an old link request application which i have restarted. I have regenerated the api key, however i get 401 Your authentication failed on request. The test signature works and returns my account no. Here is my request: http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/links/www.screwfix.com%2F?AccessID=member-12345678&Expires=1357316478&Signature=12345678910&Scope=page_to_subdomain&Sort=page_authority&SourceCols=133982846973 I have replaced my memberID and signature with dummy data to protect my credentials. Is my request string correct? Also where can i get the expiry parameter?

Exact match .ORG/.INFO vs. all query terms .COM - proof?
Hello world 🙂 I have searched among tons of quality articles here on forums, but surprisingly I haven't found topic that goes into the deep water when it comes to a specific KW rich domain problem. Let me first state that I'm mainly based this topic on the information found in following blog posts by randfish (that guru with the beard). http://www.seomoz.org/blog/exact-match-domains-are-far-too-powerful-is-their-time-limited and http://www.seomoz.org/blog/google-vs-bing-correlation-analysis-of-ranking-elements My questions is only related to RANKING aspect of the domains - NOT how is sounds, smell or dance. As all good simple .COM KW domain combinations are already taken, only thing that is left is to be a bit creative using non .COMs exact match, hyphens .COM exact match, all query terms .COM with a letter or word added etc. QUESTION and case study I found a good keyword phrase, let us called it 'super domain' with low competition & high monthly searches and great revenue possibilities. Naturally, first step is to acquire a exact match .COM domain (EMD). But, of course, that is not possible because 'superdomain.com' and super-domain.com has already been taken by some greedy domain broker waiting someone to pay $1.000.000 for it. Not an option. What options do I got? OPT1) superdomainA.COM (keyword phrase with added 'A' at the end) OR OPT2) superdomain.ORG/NET/INFO (keyword phrase on non .COM TLD) I couldn't find any studies with test and clear results regarding this subject. This is VERY important because, regarding to the links I posted, there is a 0.10 better correlation if choosing OPT1) superdomainA.COM, even if using exact match domain OPT2) superdomain.ORG/NET. But they haven't been cross tested in that results in the same post. So it's big '?' sign to me. As SEO market is getting more and more competitive, it is important to not leave anything to chance. I would appreciate if randfish, or anybody else could give some inputs about this. Thanks in advance!

Week ending 10/28 - zero organic results?!?!
According to my Google Analytics account - this is not correct - but SEOMoz is reporting on the dashboard that I had a 100% decrease in organic search visits - a paltry zero visits in one week. Is there a known issue or something that SEOMoz is working on?

Finding the source of duplicate content URL's
We have a website that displays a number of products. The product has variations (sizes) and unfortunately every size has its own URL (for now anyway). Needless to say, this causes duplicate content issues. (And of course, we are looking to change the URL's for our site as soon as possible) However, even though these duplicate URL's exist, you should not be able to land on them by navigating through the site. In theory, the site should always display the link to the smallest size. It seems that there is a flaw in our system somewhere, as these links are now found in our campaign here on SEOmoz. My question: is there any way to find the crawl path that lead to the URL's that shouldn't have been found, so we can locate the problem?

Why do I keep getting "more than one canonical URL tag" on-page factor when, in fact, there is always only one?
The following are pages that SEOMOZ says have "more than one canonical URL tag" but they all have only one. I don't get what a dynamic URL is?
I have a whole bunch of them and I have no idea how I created them. I just make titles, that's it. Nothin' fancy.
