Hi,

could you recommend the best tool that you use to keep track of all the backlinks you have.

I'd imaging there is a good software or website which lists all your backlinks with all relevant info for each link (PR of the linking site, authority level etc)

Spammy backlinks

I am very new to this site and need some help. I have two spammy backlinks in my report that were done by my host provider as I hired them for SEO. When I click on the web site there is no where to contact them. I can only subscribe to their group and I sure don't want to do that. Is having two ranking as an 8+ awful. Diverse SEO On & Off page questions!

Hey everybody. I have been reading several resources on SEO, and wanted to know your opinion on these topics. I know they are diverse and should be on a different set of questions, but i wanted to give it a try. I run a Heavily Specialized Steel B2B eCommerce Site. So my question would be what is the importance of the following topics, taking into mind the nature of my site. The importance on how often the page is updated ? Recommendations on updating relatively static pages ? How important is to meet HTML and W3C Standards, also its validation. The NoFollow and Follow ratio of incoming links. Your opinion onthe inclusion of outbound links to other relevant pages. Is there a best practice? Any comment is welcome, and would be deeply appreciated. Regards,

Social Signals Question

Hello, If I have a landing page which contains great content to the point where social sharing happens though likes, tweets, plus's etc, how do you then use this to effect rankings on your target page? I would be inclined to leave the page to gather social shares and anchor text link to the target page. Any thoughts? Basically landing page with some good content that gets shared, now what?

Is there an easy way, through passing variables in a URL, to track the links from a specific blog post? I am looking into using a query on the Google search that would return a list of the site that have been indexed that link using that specific query. Thanks!

Question on Links from Directories…

Hello,
When I do an OSE back link analyses of some sites that are listed in some directories we are considering, for almost all the directories and companies in them, the directories are listed in the OSE report, listed as followed, and usually have decent domain rank and page rank. So this means that the link from the directory is obviously being picked up by OSE and it’s listed as a followable link. My question is just because the link is picked up by OSE does that mean that the search engines value it too? Or could Google see the link ok but throw it out of the equation, presumably because it does not “like” the directory? Hope this makes sense
