A / B Split testing
-
If you have developed a server-side A / B split testing tool. How do you avoid that Google will think you are doing cloaking.
When a user enters www.xxxxx.com/xxxxxx/ he gets either version 1 or version 2 back from the server on the same url.
If the user does not accept session cookies he will always get version 1.

It might be a good idea to exlude bots from your experiment, and your results.
Check the user agent string for "(bot|spider)" and then serve them the original.
This way they still see the original, until you think that the variation has won.
-
As long as you aren't targeting the search engine spiders and giving them special content, you shouldn't have to worry about "Cloaking". To my knowledge, all incidents are reviewed before they penalize a site so they would probably see no harm in simple split testing.

I was thinking about setting up my services pages for SEO and Web design with Schema code for a product. Is this a good idea? Has anyone done it?

Will a on-page food/drink menu take away from my target keywords?
I am trying to rank for Chicago corporate events, so I am writing new content for a landing page. I have a description of our venue and why one should have a corporate event there, all content that is very rich in corporate event keywords. I then go on to say our drink packages and food packages. Overall, my actual keyword targeted content is 1/5 of the content and the other 4/5 is menu. At first I thought the more content the better, but now that I realize a lot fo the content is just saying different foods and alcohols I'm questioning my strategy. I'm going to do my metas and h1s and stuff with corporate event keywords. But is the menu going to get in the way of ranking for the corporate event keywords? Thanks in advance 🙂

Latent semantic Indexing - Does this help rankings/relevance?
Hi, Does semantically related words to the target term on a page help with rankings/relevance? If your after the term 'PC Screen' and you use the term 'PC Monitor' will go make the connection and also reward you because of the relevance? Anyone do this and have you seen any positives? I've just started to try this out lately and have been combining it with Wordle.net to give me an indication of where the content piece is heading and how aggressive the content leans towards certain words (makes things a little more interesting then calculating densities).

One or two keywords/pages
Hi, I have a question about good keyword practice. I have a page: http://www.holdnyt.dk/skader-karantaener/fodbold/england-premier-league It lists all injuries ("skader" in danish) and suspensions ("karantaener" in danish) for the english premier league in football/soccer. On the page one can choose to show only injuries OR suspensions, which have their own URLs: http://www.holdnyt.dk/skader-karantaener/fodbold/england-premier-league/skader http://www.holdnyt.dk/skader-karantaener/fodbold/england-premier-league/karantaener My question is - what is best. To optimize the first URL (the more general one) to fit both of the following keywords:

"skader premier league" and "karantaener premier league" OR should i focus on optimizing the two latter URLs, the more specfiic to target the two keywords. Regards, Rasmus0 -
Do anchor links pointing to bottom/top of page count as link?
As the title says: Do anchor links pointing to bottom/top of page count as link? This page: http://www.betxpert.com/forum/bookmakere/vis/ladbrokes-kommentar I has over 300 links, but I don't see that many links. Is it the "#15" and the top/bottom of page anchors that count? Is this harmful in terms of link juice? -Rasmus

Do JSON feed / XML Feeds have any SEO benefits?
We are looking to use a 3rd party customer review provider and I have been told by their rep that it has a feature which allows us to display reviews placed with them about us on our website via JSON feed or XML feed (I have limited technical knowledge so have no idea what this is but am hoping our developer does!) I wanted to ask whether providing data in either format has any SEO benefits? My initial thoughts to provide customer reviews was to be useful to the customer and be useful for search engines as it will be continually updating user generated content (?) Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Different names for Twitter/Facebook, and site?
Greetings, I want to optimize my site, www.atstrust.com. I know that posts to Facebook and Twitter help improve ranks. Does it matter though if my twitter/facebook sites have a different name than the domain I am optimizing? For example, my Facebook site is facebook.com/easyinspection. I assume that doesn't matter as long as the URLs on the site refer to my domain? Thanks! Eric
