Why isn't Ranking Updated?
-
I see that my rankings are not updated. Why is that so? Do we have to do something else for ranking to update or is it automatic? It's said that ranking updates every tuesday.
Also when does the next Linkscape update take place?

You can find the SEOMoz helpdesk here:
http://seomoz.zendesk.com/home
There's a menu option to submit a request there too.

Thank you.
Is sending email to help@seomoz.org the correct way to raise a ticket or is there some other sort of ticketing system?

Hi Ally,
Looking at the picture that was attached the question, I think they are asking why SEOMoz isn't showing that they've updated the rankings report. (It says it updates every Tuesday, but is still showing Tuesday 17th as the last update)
I don't think he's talking about the movements of the individual ranking keywords.

Hi,
I think you did not read my question correctly (There was also an attached image to make things more clear).
Anyway, thanks for the help. My ranking has reached first page for Google.com and Google.co.uk but it's not reflected in SEOMoz campaign dashboard as the last update for me happened on 01/17/2012 and not after that.
If I am paying for SEOMoz which should automatically keep track of my rankings, why would I need another third party tool to do that for me?

I have sent a support request to help@seomoz.org. Thanks for the pointer.

Hi ,
Looking at your question you are asking about two things firstly your rankings and secondly Linkscape updates as Doug Roberts has posted that is correct. Now to answer your first question, rankings are always updated and that means you often get fluctuations or no movement at all. You have said you haven’t had any movement, in that case you need look at implementing a link building strategy, you can do this by guest posting, creating your own great content and promoting it using your social channels, if you have the budget how about an infographic.
If your rankings still don’t improve this may mean you need to look closely at onsite issues and also use OSE and compare your site to your competitors-it is so insightful.
Also we use Advance Web Rankings to monitor our Rankings that maybe something you want to look at.
Good Luck,

There's a calendar that shows when the next linkscape updates are planned:
http://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule
My rankings update on Tuesdays too and have been updated - if yours are still not showing an update then I'd log a support ticket as it should be automatic.

Keyword Rankings Report Accuracy
How many of you routinely have inaccurate data in your Moz Pro keyword rankings reports? I just checked 5 of our terms that came in this morning - yes, it's a not logged in, non-personalized, incognito, cleared cache search - and none of them actually ranked where Moz said they ranked. One was listed in the top 5 and wasn't even on the first page. One was listed at position 3 but was actually at position 8, a big difference when it comes to CTR. And the report will have stuff like our brand name not ranked at all one week, then jumping by 45+ positions the next week, then gone the next week. And it doesn't fluctuate like that. I get that the reports are general to what most people see, but should such big disparities be expected?

Checking multiple keywords in Rank tracking
Besides the rankings in the campaigns i want to check 100+ keywords at once in rank tracking. Is this possible and if not why? It says i can check 400 keywords a day but manually entering them is time consuming and that's exactly why i use SEOMOZ, to save time.

List ranking analysis for all keywords?
I would love to see the option of having the ranking analysis listed for all my keywords! As it it now I have to click and get the numbers one by one and manually create a spreadsheet in order to have an overview of which keywords to pursue. I want to see my google ranking for each keyword next to information on how many people search for that term (in my country of choice - google.xxx) and the keyword competition in % Please tell me there's a way to do this and save me a truckload of time!

What's Happened To OSE's External Links For My Site?
Hi, I'm just taking my first steps with Open Site Explorer. I've hit a problem that I'd be really grateful for some help with. I'm running a website (that I didn't create) and want to get a clear picture of the inbound links. When I enter the URL into the OSE search bar, there are no external domains listed under the 'Inbound Links' and 'Linking Domains' tabs. Only internal site links are registered. Setting the filters, "only external" + "pages on this root domain", under the Inbound Links tab, does bring up a list of external sites. But I haven't had to enter filters just to see a list of inbound links with any other sites. Also, the breakdown under the Linking Domains tab remains the same - only links within my site are shown. Does this ring a bell? Any ideas what I might be doing wrong, or what might be wrong with my site to cause this problem? Cheers for helping, Josh

Woo rank features
Is there a way to find the same type of information that woo rank provides via the pro toolset? I am just learning SEO and exploring the PRO tool set and just received a woo rank report for a clients site and right off the bat I see that it is missing the robots.txt file, but I haven't found anything like that on SEO moz. Thanks!

Your opinion on this opportunity's difficulty?
I'm building a tool for mechanical engineers, and I'm trying to find 10 low-competition keywords to target in my first few content marketing efforts. I've got a lot of maneuvering room, so (with a bit of expert advice) I bet I'll be able to find some low-hanging fruit. Here's what I've found: Most keywords are seem to have about 40% difficulty. What's the highest level of SEOmoz "keyword difficulty" that a new website should reasonably try for? Some ranking high-authority pages are don't appear to be targeted at the term Is it fair to say that I could beat any page with less than a 'C' ranking for on-page optimization? (Assuming I target the term with general best practices)* Thanks! If you're interested, here is my current process: Go on engineering blogs for keywords Use Wordstream's Keyword Suggestion Tool for ideas around it Use Google Keyword Tools for keywords above 50 searches in direct match Use SEOmoz Keyword difficulty report, looking more deeply at keywords under <50% If I can find a top 10 page that's less than 30PA and less than 40DA, or has less than 'C' ranking for on-page optimization, I consider the keyword achievable within 3mo, using general best practices. *Except for YouTube/Wikipedia/etc
