Why has SEOmoz added G+ code to multiple pages?
-
Hi,
If you look at SEOmoz's Blog pages, you'll see they have added the G+ rel="publisher" code.
On http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1708844 Google says:
"A
rel="publisher"
link from the main page of your website to your Google+ page."Is there any benefit to putting this code into the sites template (adding it to every page of the site) when it could be added to just the homepage?
Not a criticism, just curious to know how I should implement the code on my own site (concerned that adding it to the site template is a kind-of link out on every page of my site)
Cheers

There is no benefit to having it on every page. In talking with our Google rep they stated they just needed on our site/homepage but since sometimes they don't know what they need, it was placed on every page via our CMS. At this point we haven't seen any negative effects from it but we might try placing it only on the homepage to see if that does anything.

I doubt a single string is going to add too much overhead. Im not sure how they have designed their CMS but it may just be a case of having it everywhere is easier to implement than page specific. The other thing may just be making sure google has an easy time associating sub-page content with the author/publisher without having to look up the main page. Im simply guessing here though, Im sure a mozzer will come along and give you a more definitive answer once they see your question.

Thanks Kris - but it is adding unneccessary code to the page? and slowing site speed? (although marginally)

can't speak to the moz staff but meta tags aren't treated as links. neither are rel tags within an <a>tag. So no risk to "leaking link juice from ever page". :-)</a>

How do I quickly check which keywords Google index YouTube videos for on first page?
I'd like to create YouTube videos since they can be a good way to rank for certain keywords. So I'd like to find a way to QUICKLY know which of the thousands of keywords I have are most likely to result in a first page result for my video. Is there a tool or technique you can recommend for quickly identifying the keywords I should target?

Is Moz really able to track G+ properly
Hi, I have invested a good deal of time building a G+ community, from nothing to 137 (as of today) We post regular good quality mini blogs and images. We interact with communities and link back to our our own blog. We don't sell on it, it 100% user friendly content. I am getting 10 or so shares per post and 20 or so likes 2-3 times week. My questions are this: Why can't Moz track page views or post activities for posts on different communities? With all this work we still not able to fully intergrate G+ into our Moz view of the world Thanks James

G+personal or domain account?
I've looked through the forum and I understand that it now considered better to use a personal G+ account rather than a domain based one. I can change this as I haven't actively used by elizconley@homeforbusiness.co.uk yet but want to start doing this. I understand that it is better to set up a personal G+ account and a business page. However I have a couple of questions: 1. which account do I direct the rel=author markup to, my personal G+ account or the business page. At the moment I write many of the posts on HomeforBusiness. 2. When I post from the HomeforBusiness site do I post to the business page or my personal page? Which is considered better for building connections and improved ranking? Thanks, Elizabeth

Facebook pages invites via email
Hi Within Facebook business admin there is an option to email your contacts to invite them to like your page. Has anyone done this? and would sending this invite request out to your mailing list of subscribers be allowed in Facebook or would it be seen as spamming? even though they have opted in to recieve communications/news/offers from the company?

SEO Moz Page authority and Domain authority do not correllate wih SERPS
I have checked the competitive landscape and the rankings with the keyword difficulty tool. E.g. for "Schuhe" - google.de - the rankings do not correlate with MOZ Page authority and Domain authority. What are the reasons for that and what are the important factors currently not reflected in SEO Moz Page and Domain authority?

Forgive this question, but I've always wondered is there a difference between a Facebook Page and Facebook Place page? What if a business has both? Thanks
