Facebook likes v fans

Hello,
When I look at my site in opensiteexplorer it says my site has 79 Facebook "likes".
But actually, it has 4,070.
In another part of the PRO dashboard it correctly identifies 4,070 but calls them "fans".
I thought if someone hit the "like" button they became "fans". So why is SEOmoz reporting the vastly different figures?

People can Like a URL.

People can Like your Facebook Fan page. These are also called Likes or Fans.
You have 4070 Fans who Like you on Facebook. 79 have Liked the URL you were researching.

Thanks for the response, but my Facebook social media plugin says "4,070 people like ..."

If someone Likes your page if does not mean they have become Fans on you on Facebook. These are 2 independent actions.

I have been working with a UK based printing company for a while now. We have had some good success, ranking well for most of our target phrases. One thing we do is to offer select Graphic Designers and Illustrators free business cards. Last year we approached a load of Designers and Illustrators (sourced via followerwonk) and printed cards for them, but we have run out of suitable candidates. Why isn't my Facebook page showing up in search results?
When I search directly for imageworks creative facebook page on Google, I get many results - some of which are not mine and some of which are listings from other citation sites like Manta. I did a site: search and I do see that the page is indexed by Google, but it's pretty important that we get a better ranking than we currently have! This is the Facebook url: https://www.facebook.com/ImageWorksCreative As part of our rebranding, we did have the URL changed from /imageworksstudio, but that was well over a month ago. I feel as though Google should have caught up by now. Any thoughts on how we can get our FB profile onto the front page?

Can You Aggregate Likes from Pages on Your Site to Your Homepage?
I think the Facebook widget is great for social proof if you have a lot of people who like you. (the widget that shows faces of people who like you) Let's say that you create a resource that gets 100 likes. Do those "Likes" only count at the page level or can they be aggregated into a total "Likes" count that you can show on your home page and on the Facebook widget? Or are "Likes" in the Facebook widget only for people who like your Facebook page? (not those who "Like" your site).

Like .vs Share Button - for SEO which is better?
I personally from what I have read believe the share button to be more powerful when it comes to SEO but I don't know for a fact so anyone have any input on this subject? One thing I do know, is it's a lot harder to gain a 'Share' then a 'Like' and im talking about these buttons being onsite maybe in a blog post. If you gained 100 shares and 100 likes which one would generate the best signals? Thanks

Delete Facebook Account to Trasfer Username on My Fan Page
I have following Facebook fan page and want vistastores username which is my domain name. But, I am not able to get it due to my personal profile. Fan page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Vista-Stores/160667877282170 Personal profile: http://www.facebook.com/vistastores I am thinking to delete my Facebook account. [Profile & Fan page] Then, I will re-open my Facebook account and create fan page. So, Can I transfer my username from personal profile to fan page by this method?

Roundup of Facebook Share & Facebook Like. Which one is better for SEO?
There doesn't seem to be clear cut advice / data on whether Facebook Share or Facebook Like is more valuable from an SEO standpoint. So I'm asking you SEOmoz fans have you come across conclusive evidence or have your own sites / testes proven that one is stronger than the other.

IFrame facebook fanbox and tweet blocks
I am looking for a Facebook fanbox display, and a recent tweets display which looks nice and uses an iframe. The reason I desire an iframe is to eliminate these otherwise followed links which I do not necessarily endorse. When you use a facebook fanbox, if 12 users are displayed then you have an extra 12 links added to your page. When you use a recent tweet display then each tweet, depending on your configuration, can offer many links. The tweeter's avatar is a link along with the sender's name and any links added to the message.
