Tracking Sales to Sources
-
We're trying to set up a commission system for the different people who contribute to our site.
We just want to see a list of transactions and the path back to source for all of them. We haven't been able to figure it out and know other ecommerce sites have had to have figured this out.We have GA Ecommerce tracking on. How can we find last months sales:
source / medium / keyword / landing page / revenue / etc
Sorry if this is an obvious question. We have spent a lot of time trying to figure it out.

We are still searching for a solution to this. We have worked on it though and this is what we've come up with. Please understand we're just driving to the finish line anyway we can with hopes someone has found a better way to do it.
I attached 2 videos of what we are looking for and sort of explaining where we are at.
Thanks In advance.

You're very welcome.
Re: More detailed information: Custom reporting in Google Analytics should allow you to do all of them. You should be able to drag all the appropriate metrics and dimensions you need!
So instead of "Standard Reporting", go to "Custom Reporting" along the top.

Thank you Josh,
IT's very close to what I'm looking for, that is the closest solution we have come up with as well.
Here is where that method is falling short for us.
We want to be able to see more than they are showing us. All the dimensions we want to see are in the list, but we can only select 2 at a time.
Can we see more than just Source/medium plus a secondary. Is it possible to see
"source / medium / keyword / landing page / revenue / etc" in 1 report somehow?

Hi Christopher,
I think... If you go into the new analytics and select your site. Go to Traffic Sources in blue down the left, and then to Sources below that. Select All Traffic (or if you want a specific one, select that instead).
Now in the main part of this page, below the orange bar, then the grey bar and then the "All Traffic". You will have "Explorer" and below that "E-commerce". Select "E-commerce".
This will add a number of elements to the table below, which you can then add a "Secondary dimension" of landing page (or whatever else). You can burrow down into that information to find everything you're looking for I think. Then just change the dates to the window that you need.
Let me know if that's not quite the information you are looking for!

Issue for Sales Team & Funnelling Smaller Orders
Hi, Hoping somebody might have some suggestions for funnelling smaller orders and larger orders on different journeys. Basically, 90% of our business comes from 10% of customers with larger orders, like contractors and organisations who fill out leads or call us. But about 90% of the sales teams time is taken up from handling lots of smaller calls, which account for <5% of our revenue. Obviously we still want these smaller orders, but would anyone have any suggestions on moving these customers away from phone calls? We've tried to add as much content to the site as possible to answer they're questions, but they seem to just call anyway. Hope you can help!

Help! Tracking Conversion Source of Specific Users: Possible? How?
Just as an example, let's say we generate a website lead from John Smith. Can we trace John Smith's activity back through AdWords or Analytics to see exactly where he came from and (with AdWords for example) what keyword he typed in before clicking our ad and converting? Thanks for the help!

Tracking homepage visits
Hi Mozzers, I run a website that has some buttons on the homepage. These URL's are not unique as they are accessible from the nav bar at the top of the page. I want to see the conversion rate of the homepage buttons. Is this possible? I currently use Crazy Egg to see how many people are clicking on the buttons but I want more information as I'm sure whether they are converting. Thanks, Karl

Event Tracking or Goal Tracking?
Hi guys, What do I need to implement if I want to track sign-ups (and where this successful transaction/goal came from) and email inquiries (from a contact form)? Event Tracking or Goal Tracking? If you can share some of your guides or blogs/articles you found online, that would be great. Thanks in advance! 🙂

How to track full path of website visitors until conversion, not just landing page?
hi, This is my first question in the forums and I'm looking forward to be part of a great SEO community. I was wondering ow to track full path of website visitors until conversion, not just landing page? I've been using Wordpress jetpack site stats for while, which shows great data like keywords used in google, landing page etc. But I would like to have access to the full path for each separate visitors (including their IP address and country is possible) to improve my website and conversions. Example: step 1: Visitor X types "seo" on Google step 2: visitor lands on my homepage step 3: visitor visits to order page and buys Is there such tool available as a Wordpress plugin? Or do I have to use Google analytics for this? thank you for your help, Marc

How can I track the traffic source/keyword of form submissions?
I'm using Google Analytics on www.nhfinehomes.com and would like to track the source of leads submitted via form submissions. Ideally, I could track if the lead originated from organic search (and what keyword phrase), PPC, referral links, etc. Is this possible with Google Analytics and if so, can anyone point to some documentation on how to do this or better yet someone who can help me set this up? This site is running ASP.NET and uses JQuery so there is not a 'traditional' thank you page that I can reference. I'm not a programmer and do not pretend to be one! Thanks in advance. Link
