Tracking help
-
I attached 2 videos of what we are looking for and sort of explaining where we are at.
Searching for a solution to this tracking issue, we have worked on it with what we know how to do, this is what we've come up with. Please understand we're just driving to the finish line anyway we can with hopes someone has found a better way to do it.
Thanks In advance.

Chris,
One way or another, unfortunately, your data will have to end up in Excel for you to get everything you want. Custom reports are powerful, but I suspect getting it all together simply will be impossible.
So, the issue is now: the pain in the ass that is re-downloading tons of .csvs everytime.
Ultimately, you'd probably best just hiring a GA API expert to build out what you want.
But if you want to give it a go on your own, I think where you might get a lot of help is from an Analytics Excel plugin like Excellent Analytics.
It can be a bit cumbersome getting the data out that you want, BUT the real benefit is that once you do have the queries in place, you can click update and the new data will roll in (see about 3/4 of the way down on their how-to page: http://excellentanalytics.com/how-to/). I can imagine a scenario where you have a few queries that pull raw data, then some a bunch of references in your master table of data.
Also, they're not the only ones with a GA/Excel plugin.
Good Luck
Mike

Conversions tracking on another website
Hi guys, Situation: A website selling a mix of products from various vendors. When a product's Buy Now get clicked, it redirects to the vendor's website so the order can be placed there. Question: How do I track all these conversions reliably? Is there any shortcut? Also, what do they need to do technically to make it work, and will it send to my GA or is it any tool that will record these conversions? Does anyone do this actively? Thanks for ALL the ANSWERS!

Sponsored Links on Amazon, help
So from what I can see CLickrive was discontinued by Amazon, replaced by a9. I have been asked by a client how they can get onto Sponsored Links near the bottom of a search query on an amazon page. Now I can see from the amazon associates site that you can put widgets, display ads, product search links etc but there is no mention of 'Sponsored Links' other than: SPONSORED LINKS Sponsored links are advertisements related to your recent product search query or content on the page. Sponsored links are always clearly labeled. When you click on a sponsored link, we get revenue. Generating additional revenue from sponsored links allows Amazon.com to offer lower prices to you - something we are dedicated to doing in every way we can. There is no mention on how to actually be a sponsored link... I have read on various blogs etc that it is delivered by a third party network... no mention as to whom... thought Google but no mention of this on any information I can find on Google blogs etc. Anyone have an idea? Thank you 🙂

Can anyone help me find the broadband ISP affiliate program I need?
I have a couple sites that deal with broadband internet access, and I'm looking to monetize beyond adsense. I'd like to sign up for some affiliate programs from internet service providers like Charter, CenturyLink, Comcast, etc. I found a couple affiliate programs but I am having no luck at all figuring out the programs that so many other websites are involved with. In about every case, the user is able to enter in their address and then a search is performed, returning programs available at their location. The programs I've found just do the traditional ad click-throughs for a possible commission. Can anyone enlighten me what kind of programs they are using?

Google Analytics Tracking Pixels for Third-Party sites???
Hello, Does anyone know if it is possible to track an event on a third party site and have it post back to your Google Analytics account? For example, I am sending traffic to a partners site and I want to know if that traffic I am sending them will hit a specific point of conversion (a sale) and I'm wondering if it possible to place a tracking pixel on their thankyou.html page that gets recorded in my google analytics?

URL Tags / Affiliate tracking help
1. If I give a sales rep a unique tag to put at the end of a URL for tracking purposes, will Google index the "www.mysite.com/service.html?unique-tag" version of a page and display it in search results? 2. Would a tool like Xenu be able to find that version of a URL? Reason for questions: If I give my sales people tags with their names in them, I don't want competitors poaching my sales people by search for all URLs on my domain. Follow up: are there any other potential issues that I should think about? Thanks!
