Subdomain mozTrust - does other parkd domains can affect that ?
-
Hi , I have my domain www.mydomain.com and it have dpmain authority 26 , domain mozRank around 3 , domain mozTrust 1.63 , page authority 31, Google PR 2.0 etc etc So I am not in very bottom of scores, but my SUBDOMAIN MOZTRUST is only 0.961 and I've checked other websites that I've made some time ago and they have it like 4.0. So it is quite bad.
I am having some domain parked within my hosting package. they have different names like www.mydomain2.co.uk , www.mydomain3.com etc.
I can acces those domains as wel by typing :
mydomain2.mydomain.com mydomain3**.mydomain.com**
and have some testing subdomains there as well (just if I need to test something like drupal , wordpress or testing shoping cart etc.)
Can that fact affect my subdomain rank ? Because I am having those domains parked there or I've made some subdomains that are not in use and nobody is linking to them and they are visible in Google ?

Many thanks for all answers ! That will help me to understand my problem more.

The important thing to realize about subdomain MozTrust is it only applies to your "www" subdomain. The metrics for your root domain (example.com) will likely be higher.
It's likely that not a lot of authority sites have linked to you using "www" in the link. It's usually a small distinction, but it can make a difference.

No, no worries. This won't effect your MozTrust
As Robert said, MozTrust is raised by getting sites with high MozTrust to link to you. Hard work, but well worth it.

With mozTrust, it is really about the links you have coming to that sub domain. If they are from Wikipedia, a well known news source, three large teaching hospitals, SEOmoz, etc. then you are going to have a very high mozTrust. If, you are parking subdomains and then linking to them this will obviously cause a lower score as those domains have nothing linked to them and have no reason to be trusted.
If you are going out getting lots of low end links, the mozTrust will be low. So, the key to higher mozTrust is higher quality links.

Does having a sub-domain on a different server affect SEO?
I'm working with a company that has a hard-coded website on the root domain, and then a WordPress blog on a subdomain on a separate server. We're planning on implementing a hub and spoke model for their content, hosting the main hubs on the root domain and the linked articles on the blog. Is having the blog on a different server going to hinder our SEO efforts?

Could the EMD update affect my domain?
My domain is: http://www.freescrabbledictionary.com/ "Scrabble Dictionary" is a huge keyword in my niche where I used to rank top 4. Do you see this domain as possibly being hit by the EMD? My Google Analytics does not show that I was initially hit back in Sept 2012 when it first same out.

Old domain vs. New keyword domain - Thoughts?
Okay. I'd like to get opinions as to what everyone thinks about domains lately. Here is any example: The current domain is general in nature, in fact, it's a persons name because they are a real estate agent. So the domain is something like JohnDoe.com. Current stats: Has approx. 130 linking domains pointing to it. Has over 300 incoming links from these linking domains. The link profile is clean and not spammy (not to say there are not a few that might be here and there) Was bough in 1994 The new domain would have very little value except it would be keyword rich such as PortlandHomesForSale.com (just an example). What are your thoughts. Thank you.

Domains and Hosting Question
I bought hosting for unlimited domains on Godaddy. It's not a dedicated server. It was just $85 a year. I have unlimited latency but a limited amount of "space." I don't know a lot about hosting servers etc... My question is relatively simple. When I go in GoDaddy to my hosting. There is a site that shows up as hosted, and all of the other sites show up under that site in it's directory. If you type the name of the site I bought the hosted package on, then type a forward slash and the name of one of the other sites on the hosting package, you will actually go to the other website. What is this relationship? Is it normal? Does that make all of my websites subdomains of the main site (that I bought the hosting package on)? I don't fully comprehend how this effects everything...

What can we do to improve our site
Hi. I am hoping that some of you can help me with the in2town site www.in2town.co.uk The site is a news/lifestyle magazine site. The site is a cross between, huffington post, digital spy, female first and the sun newspaper. Basically the site is a news site as well as covering showbiz news, travel news, health news and advice etc What i would like is for people to look at the site and let me know what they feel i should do to improve the site to make it better for our readers and to gain more readership. I would also like to hear from people on how they find moving around the site as well as the speed of the site. At the moment the site is with an american hosting company and i am in the process of talking to UK hosting companies to move the site. The site is currently on a dedicated server. It would mean a lot if people could give me their advice on how to improve the site and make it a beter experience for our readers while at the same time being able to generate income with the site. Just a quick note, all content is original and we have a number of people who write for the site. many thanks

Change of domain name?
Hello, We are currently developing a new site for an existing online clothing retailer. The existing site is on a .co.uk domain, however we are targeting a global market and wondered whether we could/should launch the new site under a .com address and whether this would be beneficial? Most of our back links come from Affiliate blogs and we could quite easily change these to the new URL. Thanks Bilal

When should you turn off redirects to your new domain?
Our website moved to a new domain a year ago, and we have our original domain to redirect to our new domain. We're working on contacting people who still link to our old domain to ask them to update, but 7% of our traffic is still coming as a redirect from our old domain. My question is, when should we just shut the old domain down entirely and stop redirecting people to our new domain? Or should we just keep it up indefinitely? What would be the positive or negative impact on our new domain's SEO if we shut the old domain down? Thanks!

Sub Domain SEO
I am thinking to Add Sub Domains to get better rankings for Local Searches. So I will develop City Specific Sites with Specific Language. For Example qatar.wisnetsol.com. IT will be in Arabic. If my Good standing and Ranking on Google for wisnetsol.com will help my subdomain to rank better? if we setup wisnetsol.com/qatar, how it can target Qatar in Google Webmaster tools? Will links for qatar.wisnetsol.com and wisnetsol.com are seprate? What do you think about this strategy? Is it good or bad?
