2 SEO questions

Hello everyone
I have two questions for all you fine seo people this morning...1 - Is there a website that I could go to to make sure that I do not have duplicate content floating around on the web that I am not aware of? Sometimes people take information from my site and post it as their own and I want to make sure that google does not ping me for it.
2 - Does anyone know how I can report a spam site to google? I have filled out the reports many times over the past year and posted it in the webmaster discussion forum and it is still up there
I sent one email to bing and the next day they contacted me with a thank you email and indicated that I was 100% correct and they removed the site from their index.Thank you all!!!!

A great link building method is to find people who stole your content and contact them and let them know they can keep it up if they give you a link

You might not need to worry about stolen content if 1) Your content was indexed by Google first and 2) Your content outranks the stolen content in search. Here's a video from Matt Cutts at Google that might be of interest to you:Â http://youtu.be/4LsB19wTt0Q
- Why not just do a Google search for your content? If it's in the Google index, it will show up in search. You can make it easier by doing a phrase search that will be unique to your piece of content.
If you're looking for something that will check your whole site or do it automatically, I'm not aware of a tool that does that. A lot of people use Copyscape (www.copyscape.com), but that might not solve your problems.

Url-delimiter vs. SEO
Hi all, Our customer is building a new homepage. Therefore, they use pages, which are generated out of a special module. Like a blog-page out of the blog-module (not only for blogs, also for lightboxes). For that, the programmer is using an url-delimiter for his url-parsing. The url-delimiter is for example a /b/ or /s/. The url would look like this: www.test.ch/de/blog/b/an-article www.test.ch/de/s/management-coaching Does the url-delimiter (/b/ or /s/ in the url) have a negative influence on SEO? Competitor outranking us despite all SEO metrics in our favour
Hi, We are trying to outrank a competitor of ours on Google for around 100 terms that we are both clearly targetting. Our competitor currently 'wins' in the SERPS around 70% of the time, often ranking in the top 3 positions. The problem is, we are absolutely convinced that all onsite and offsite SEO metrics we are monitoring would suggest that our content should almost always place higher than theirs. Here is what I know: All pages on both websites are rated 'A' by the Moz on-page-grader tool for the phrases we are targetting, with virtually no tech issues to be addressed on either site Our domain authority is 10 points higher than theirs Neither of us have external links to the relevant pages on our sites (although we are working on some for ours) Our Page Authority is considerably higher on average - often by 10 points or more We have considerably more linking route domains, from better sites. Also many more total external links The HTML title and H1 headings of our pages contain the target phrases at the beginning - our competitors are the same. Although they often ONLY include the target phrases in their title, wheras in our title they might only take up 1/3 of the total characters We have images optimised for the target phrases on our pages. As do they. We use the target phrases roughly the same number of times in our copy text, as do they I have totally run out of ideas now for further optimising our site/pages to consistently rank better for these target phrases, although maybe these are a couple of factors that could be having an impact on the rankings: The structure of their website is perhaps optimised more for these target phrases - our site is much bigger, so perhaps our 100 pages are given less relevance on our site than their 100 pages? - but surely our stronger page authority would suggest otherwise? Perhaps Google is using page engagement statistics to determine that their site is 'betteer' than ours in terms of user appeal and engagment? Can anyone think of something that I might have missed? Is there another major ranking factor I have perhaps neglected in my research? I know link building strategies are a good way to approach this in the long run, but we are currently just concerned about why we are not already ranking better when clearly they are not undertaking any link building strategies of their own. Any help or pointers here would be enormously appreciated. Thanks Lou

Has anyone else experience their Domain Authority Drop in the last 2 weeks to their sites
Has anyone else experienced their Domain Authority Score Drop in the last 2 weeks. Â I have 6 sites and all of their DA dropped between 2-4 points. Â At the beginning I thought it was just my Wordpress sites, but it happened to all my sites. Â If anyone has any answers, please enlighten me. Â Is it Google? Â Last time this happened was in March 2013 and raised all the scores back up and now as of lately, they all have dropped. Kin Regards, David

Find a 4xx or 5xx link referenced in an SEO Crawl Report
So I just got the Crawl Diagnostics report for a client site and it came back with a number of 4xx errors and even 1 5xx error. Â So while I can find the URL that has the problem, I cannot find the pages that have the links pointing to these non-existent or problematic pages. Â Normally I would just search the database for the site, but in this case I don't have access to it as the site is on a proprietary platform with no access other than to the CMS. Â Is there anyway to get the linking URL from the report? Â Thanks!

SEO Moz analysing US site when I want it to analyse UK site
Hi there, I am trying to analyse the UK version of my website. However as the website is set to redirect people to the most relevant site and SEO Moz is based in the US, it is redirecting all the pages your crawling and therefore analysing US pages. So I am trying to look at the UK homepage but all the factors relate to the US site... Is there a way around this?? Thanks

Cant understand Seo moz analysis
Did a semoz analysis of site www.1stclassdriving.co.uk and it came up with 484 pages with duplicate titles and 484 with duplicate content. Also gave me a 531st ranking for search term "Driving Lessons" (with many smaller schools with better rankings)- so I think that I may have a problem 1-Duplicate titles - I have many area pages - one for each of the post codes that we cover (some 40 odd) Each page is titled "Driving Lessons in "xxx" where xxx is the area.

Plus each Instructor has their own page which is tiled "Driving Lessons in xxx" where xxx is the more local towns/areas covered.
Is this the use of the term Driving Lessons xxx on each page the problem? The report doesnt seem to make this clear -it simply lists each page on the site 2- Duplicate content puzzles me as the content does differ although each instructor page has probably 80% content derived from a master page.
