Should I import external reviews to my site?

Hi everybody!
I manage the website for a financial services company. We have more than 5000 reviews on a user review website. We have the possibility to import and display all these reviews on our site.
- Is this good for SEO?
- Will Google find it suspicious that our site suddenly displays a lot of new keyword-rich content?
- What about duplicate content?

Activitysuper has a good point about choosing some of the best ones as testimonials for conversion rate optimization.
However, there is a chance you could get the third-party review data supplier to noindex their version of the reviews/content. It depends on what your contract says. If I was paying a company to handle the reviews for my product, like a BazaarVoice for example, I'd expect to have exclusive rights to that content.
To be specific though, we'll need more information. Where will these reviews go? If it would be 5,000 new pages of duplicate content, that's an issue. If they would be put onto product pages there are many options. You could put them in an iframe so you show the content to users but avoid the duplicate content issue. You could show the best three or four on the product page and then show the rest on a separate page that you don't allow to be indexed.
You are asking a great question, but I think some more information is necessary in order for anyone to definitively answer it.

I would stay away from doing that as good chance it could flag as duplicate content.
What would the ratio of reviews to current content be on a page?
I would be inclined to use it to conversion optimise, but only selecting a few of the better ones.

Site structure headache
Hello all, I'm struggling to get to grips with a websites site structure. I appreciate that quality content is key etc, and the more content the better, but then I have issues with regards to doorway pages. For example im now starting to develop a lot of ecommerce websites and want to promote this service. should we have pages that detail all of the ins and outs of ecommerce - or should we simplify it to a couple of pages. what is best practice? Site Launching, not SEO Ready
Hi, So, we have a site going up on Monday, that in many ways hasn't been gotten ready for search. The focus has been on functionality and UX rather than search, which is fair enough. As a result, I have a big list of things for the developer to complete after launch (like sorting out duplicate pages and adding titles that aren't "undefined" etc.). So, my question is whether it would be better to noindex the site until all the main things are sorted before essentially presenting search engines with the best version we can, or to have the site be indexed (duplicate pages and all) and sort these issues "live", as it were? Would either method be advisable over the other, or are there any other solutions? I just want to ensure we start ranking as well as possible as quickly as possible and don't know which way to go. Site dropped after article submissions
I have a site about back pain. The name is lower back pain relief. It has a lot of content on how to treat back pain with natural remedies. I paid for botw.org and yahoo directories as well as submissions from submit edge. My site was doing well within a few months. I was floating around at the bottom of page two for "lower back pain relief" and lower back pain. I found out about Unique article wizard. I started using that to write and submit articles. Now, my website is not ranking anywhere. I submitted a request for reconsideration to Google. They said no manual action had been taken. The question: How long does this penalty last? Is that website toast now? I think it was penalized for using the anchor text too much or adding too many links at once. It has been penalized for about 6 weeks now.

What do the mozzers think about this site of mine?
Hello SEO MOzzers, I am today wanting your feedback on a site that I recently went live with. My Google rankings for the main keywords are doing very well considering the site has been live for 3 weeks now. Product Reviews.
Hi. In the last few days I have studied a little bit about this, and I would like to know the opinion of experts. My website www.theprinterdepo.com is a Magento site and I have the product review disabled by default because nobody makes reviews. However I have seen that other vendors out there have big databases of reviews that can be plugged in into my website. www.powerreviews.com for example Will this really boost my site? seo talking? If so, any other provider you can recommend me, www.powerreviews.com seems too expensive.

New Site Search Critique
Hi I am a huge fan of the SEOMOZ site and this great community which has helped me learn the current SEO skills I have now which are still very basic compared to the pros on the forum. I have tried to follow best practice regarding onsite and technical seo when developing my new site www.cheapfindergames.com and I would really appreciate it if experts on the forum could spare a minute to critique the site from a search perspective please This will give any elements of what onsite and technical SEO I done well and what aspects still need work. Google.ca is showing our US site instead of our Canada Site
When our Canadian users who search on google.ca for our brand (e.g. Travelocity, Travelocity hotels, etc.), the first few results our from our US site (travelocity.com) rather than our Canadian site (travelocity.ca). In Google Webmaster Tools, we've adjusted the geotargeting settings to focus on the appropriate locale, but the wrong country TLD is still coming up at the top via google.ca. What's the best way to ensure our Canadian site comes up instead of the US site on google.ca? Thanks, Tory Smith
