On page optimisation reports
-
Hello,
How do I configure these reports to check my landing pages, rather than just my home page?
Thanks,
Bilal

I would - optimise your chosen page for the keyword you wish it to rank for. Check this page manually against you chosen keyword and fix any problems etc. Once you've done this your on-page grade isn't going to change.
Once you've got the page sorted think about your site architecture and internal site links.
Then you can start looking at the off-site stuff like link building etc.
What the on-page report is great for, is finding pages that are ranking (but not as high as they might) for particular keywords. Some simple on-page optimisation and you can gain a ranking position or two. Can make quite a difference if you get a page up a couple of positions onto page 1 or into the top 3.

Doug,
Many thanks for your reply.
I can see you can do this manually, but wanted this to be automated i.e. to assign keywords to a specific landing page.
Is this possible?

Are any of your other pages ranking in the top-50 for any of your chosen keywords?
From the help here:
https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/20878127-on-page-analysis-for-campaigns
"The On-page summary automatically generates reports for any of your campaign keywords that rank in the top 50 of your primary search engine. The URL that it grades is the same URL that appears in the search results.
For instance, if you have 75 keywords ranking in the Top 50, you should have 75 On-Page Reports. This generation happens automatically within 24 hours of when your rankings are updated."
If you select the Report Card link at the top of the on-page optimisation report you can run a report for any of your keywords. Just provide the URL you want to rate and off you go.
You can always run these manually on any URL/Keyword combination. Look for On-Page Optimization under Research Tools:

Hope this helps.

Product Page Links
I have a product category page at https://www.hurtlegear.com.au/s1000rr/ which currently has 38 products on it. Problem is, all the product titles start with the name of the text: "bmw s1000rr" (because that's what they are) - so that means there are 38 anchored internal links on that page, all starting with the same keyword. You can see how that might look to the Google crawler. Recently that page dropped from around 15 to outside the top 100, and Moz tells me that the page is keyword stuffed with "bmw s1000rr" (no suprise) so I'm guessing that may be the reason the page has disappeared out of the SERPs. I don't really want to change all the product titles (then they wouldn't make sense) so I'm just wondering if there is any way around this? Is there some way of telling Google that this is a product category page and therefore to ignore the anchor text in all of those product links? Can/should the links have some kind of markup on them? Or is the page beyond help? Basically I'm looking at a way of keeping the product titles as they are, but avoiding a page penalty from Google somehow. I'm a bit of a newbie, any suggestions would be most appreciated. Cheers, Graeme

Page title contents
In my page title, I have my product name. Is it beneficial to also include another keyword like: Buy wedding dress online Australia: e..g. (page title) amelie wedding dress | buy wedding dress online Australia. Or is it better just using: Amelie wedding dress

On Page Grade Reports - Which to optimize first?
I'm wanting to prioritize my on-page optimization efforts by doing the work that will have the most impact first. Let's say, hypothetically, that this was my on-page report card: Grade A - 60 reports

Grade B - 20 reports
Grade C - 70 reports
Grade D - 70 reports
Grade F - 300 reports Where is the biggest opportunity for increasing good traffic? Doing more work on Grade A pages to ensure I continue to rank Moving mid-grade pages up to high-grade pages (e.g., raising a B to A, or a C to B) Moving low-grade pages up to mid-grade pages (e.g., raising a D to C, or a F to D)0 -
Is it possible to hide some of the on page results?
I have set up on page reports for keywords against specific pages... but I have a whole other bunch of reports which are automatically run by the system (many of them not really relevant at the moment in time) so, I'm wondering if there's a way to filter out just my own reports? This way I can focus on improving my target pages, rather than having to find them in amongst all the sys gen reports. Apologies if this is a rather obtuse questions.... newbie user. Thanks in advance. Khaled

Duplicate page titles
We have search results pages on our site. They share the same page title, there is no real differentiator between the result pages, other than page 1, page 2 etc. How do we de-dup the titles? just add page 1/2/3 etc to the end of them?

Page without content
Hey Everyone, I've started an SEO On Page analysis for a web site and I've found a lot of duplicate content and useless pages. What do I have to do? Delete this useless page, redirect or do canonical tag? If I have to delete what is the best way to do? Should I use GWT to delete? or just delete from the server? This URL for example: http://www.sexshopone.com.br/?1.2.44.0,0,1,13,0,0,aneis-evolved-boss-cock's.html [admin note: NSFW page} There is no content and it is duplicate in reference of this: http://www.sexshopone.com.br/?1.2.44.0,0,1,12,0,0,aneis-evolved-boss-cock's.html [admin note: NSFW page} and the correct page of the product is: http://www.sexshopone.com.br/?1.2.44.0,423,anel-peniano-evolved-boss-cock's-pleasure-rings-collar-white-reutilizavel-e-a-prova-d'agua-colecao-evolved.html [admin note: NSFW page} What is happening is that we have 8.000 pages like this. Useless and without any content. How do I proceed? Thanks!

Google is indexing spam pages from my site. What is the most effective way to get ride of the search results? Pages are deleted now but should I do something more?
A long time ago I created a forum (Invision Power Board) and it got full of spam. Massive amounts! /forum/ I've now deleted the forum but the spam pages are still indexed on Google. Can I do something else to hurry up the process to get ride of them?

On-page optimisation for CMS based sites
With so many sites being based on a CMS, and with so many hundreds of different CMS out there, as SEO consultants how do you recommend dealing with on-page optimisation for a client where you discover their site is built with a CMS you have not previously used (or even heard of!)
