Manta inbound link in OSE - competitor site yes, my site no, why?
-
Our site has had a link back to our site from Manta for a long time, but it's not appearing in our OSE results. One of our competitors similarly has an inbound link from Manta and that link DOES appear in their OSE results.
I'm not certain whether that matters for us. Does it?
But in any event, why would the one link appear but not the other?
Thanks!

Thanks again. I hadn't looked at the Bing WMT set. Interesting and useful. Thanks!

Thank you for taking time to answer my questions. I appreciate your help!

If you do a search like site:domain.com it will show all the pages in the index for that domain.
you can see if the page with your link is included,
You can list your site in GWMT (google webmaster tools) and (Bing web master tools) both of these will give you a list of links pointing to your site, none of these lists are complete, but i find the BIng list to be the best.

"Check to see if your Manta listing is in Google's index."
How can I do that? Sorry, I'm really new to all this.
Thanks,

Alan is right on. OSE is a great and amazing tool, but it can't be relied upon for 100% accurate link counts. If you know you have the link, you have the link.
Check to see if your Manta listing is in Google's index. If it is, Google knows you have the link. That is what is really important.

OSE does not include every page on the internet, or every page of a given website, in fact i remember reading that they tuned it to read less of any given one site in order to read more sites.
It may be that the crawler comes across your competitor’s link before it moves on, but unfortunately does not comes across yours.OSE is a good indicator, but not entorly acurate, but things should average out, there would be links on all sites that are not found.

Ahrefs Much Higher Than Competitors But Competitors Doing Significantly More Traffic?
Hey guys, I'm baffled by checking my Ahrefs ratings lately. It looks like our rating just went up considerably... from over 1 million to now around 500k. One of my main competitors, however, has a much lower Ahrefs rank (over 3 million) but he does a considerable more amount of traffic than we do... how is this? My domain rating is higher than his by a lot. Very curious how this works.

Abnormally high number of root domains linking to root domains
My client runs a very small business hiring out space in a single warehouse and rarely adds content to his incredibly badly optimised wordpress site. Can anyone make any wild guesses as to why my client has 2.9 million root domains linking to root domains? He also has a domain authority of 100. Strange when the number one competitor in warehouse space in this part of the world is Gumtree (equivalent of Craig's List) and that only has 9.25k root domains linking to root domains and site authority of 80. Is there any way of finding out where these links are coming from via Moz? Thanks

Why are my paid vendors not showing on our links?
We pay a hefty amount to site that claim to bring in leads. ie... Cars.com, Edmunds.com, Cargurus, and I also have my dCard (digital business cards) with links to our URL. Why aren't they showing on our PA or DA? Could it be our web host? We have on;y 2 options for web hosts per Acura (a compliance thing) Please help with any thoughts or answers to this. I see many other dealers with strong links who use the same companies. Our site is http://findlayacura.com and thank you for any help. We appreciate it greatly.

Keyword Search - another site bypassed me and they are not ranked well...
I was trying to optimize the keywords "music for kids" . This is a no brainer because my URL is "musicforkids" My On-Page Report Card for "music for kids" gives my site a "A". The on page report card for the other site gets an "F". But the other site comes up number ONE in the organic Google search and my site comes up number three. The two sites above me receive a crappy on page Keyword report for the key words "music for kids" but they still come up above me for that search term. What's the deal?
