Extracting contact info from a website

I saw a great link building article on this website a few months ago about finding competitors back links and using a program to find the contact info located in those back links. Can anyone point me to that article, or even the program that is used to get this contact info?

I don't recall the article off-hand, but we did recently have a post with a good argument against scraping contact info in advance. If you look at the third point at http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/5-pro-link-building-tips-to-improve-scalability you'll see why the author argues for getting the contact info right when you do the outreach.
As the owner of a niche site for an RC hobby, I get a lot of unsolicited emails regarding SEO services and selling of products where it's obvious that the sender has just harvested my email and has not really looked at my site. Trust me, you'll go a lot further if you actually look at the site and hand-gather the info.

Scrapebox apparently has the capability to find contact details off a page, but I've never tested it.

I need help: Website has dropped and I dont know how to bring it back
Hi All, So my website has dropped now to page 12, I have no idea why, I've tried myself to bring it back and I have also tried a few £1000 at outsourcing the SEO which has had no affect. There are no penalties in webmaster tools but I personally think something the algo doesn't like is holding it back - I could be wrong. I think this because some of the results higher than me are a lot worse, hold little to no content and there backlink profiles have no links, some are even 1 page new domains that have been live for as little as a month ranking a lot higher than me. At one point I was ranking page1, position4 for the term 'bank holidays' and now I don't rank anywhere. What's weird is if you search 'bankholidays' as one word I appear in that position. Yahoo Directory inclusion of Spanish Websites

My website has its 100% market in Mexico, so i havent seen the need to put an english version of the site. Website designers/developers place hallmarks (Website Designed by XXXX) in the footer region of the web sites they have designed/built, how much ranking value do these hallmarks have being that they're pointing from sites that are irrelevant to the web designer's, and why?

New website, small business, niche market --- what's my best link building strategy?
Hi everyone, We are a small company manufacturing a niche product (indoor playground equipment), our new English website (www.funlandiaplaygrounds.com) has just been launched 2 months ago, before that we didn't even have a website in English. As the international sales manager of such a small company, I have to do all the international marketing jobs including SEO, but before this I'm almost a noob on SEO. According to the latest SEO theory and numerous posts I've read here, links from these directories carry very low value, and solely relying on these links may even cause penalty to the website, but the reality is, all these competitors rank on the top as a result of these "spammy" links. For example this website www.aileplay.com that has the highest PA of 64 and rank on the first page on the search result of indoor playground equipment, has tons of spammy links. That is the situation we are facing now, then my questions is: As a small business in such a niche market, what is our best strategy to rank well in a reasonable time, say 3 months to 6 months? I do not think our competitors are very strong and hard to beat, I believe we will beat them in content creation for sure, but what should we do in link building? should we start to get directory links now, as it obviously works for them? Or should we first create more attractive content, then use these content to get natural links BEFORE we submit for directory, as recommended by most link experts here? If so should we just sit back doing nothing before the link worthy content is created and natural links starts to come in? I highly appreciate any comments! DSG_clan

Internal Linking for Newspaper Websites
Now, there are a number of do's and dont's when it comes to internal linking, but do those rules apply to news websites that have to interlink relevant news stories, primarily based on their relevancy to the user and the value that they have to provide rather than keeping the idea of page rank sculpting in mind?
