Silly question time.....

Can Open Site Explorer work on twitter profile pages? Or is the fact twitter is on https still an issue for crawling open site explorer?

Thanks for this. Guess the profile is not on site explorer site and also was curious about exploring the httpS domain but thanks anyway.

Hi

In OSE in the url box put in twitter.com/(twitter_name) and you will get results showing where the link for this appears.

Discrepancy between backlinks (opensiteexplorer vs. search console)

Hey there, when I check in search console for "Links to your site" and "your most linked content" I see incoming links pointing to the wrong (country and language) subdirectory? When I check those same backlinks with opensiteexplorer they seem to point (after redirects) to the correct subdirectory. Anyone out there with similar experiences or thoughts on this? I would be happy to give access to search console if you wanted to have a look at this. How do OpensiteExplorer handle HTTPS pages?

For historical reason my entire site (https://www.banknorwegian.no ) is in )HTTPS. I am trying to use opensiteexplorer to get a linkprofile. But then I only get the links that point to www.banknorwegian.no (without https://) . Is it possible to use it for https pages? Also, I assume some of the same problem arise when I use the keyword difficulty tool. The pages I have show up in the result, but they have a Page Authority that has to be made from just links to the http version.

Does Google have a direct link with facebook and twitter?

Google monitor social media. What I'm wondering is do Google use the same tools we have on Facebook's API, Twitter's API etc to use in their SERPs Or do Facebook grant Google more detailed access to see who has liked links etc. I think it's quite an interesting point as surely I can push up my own count by repeatedly sharing my own links, which wouldn't be genuine. If Google had better access they could then determine what's been faked etc.

Does the Mozbar support Twitter Cards?

When I use the Mozbar to check a site I am currently working on (in progress) - http://ec.websiteinprogress.co.uk/hire/dior-lady-dior/ I see that it is reporting duplicate Meta Description tags. I dont see any more than one proper META Description tag, but do have OpenGraph and Twitter Card descriptions on the page. Is Mozbar picking up one of these incorrectly and flagging it as the duplicate? If so, which i suspect, maybe you need to add this to the tool. Thanks, Scott.

Links counted in Google Webmaster Tools vs. OpenSiteExplorer

Hi all SEOmozzers, site: http://f8phototravel.pl I have (in my GMT profile) 43 domains linking. Among them one of the biggest Polish like: onet.pl (5/187), gazeta.pl (8/393), grono.net.pl, canon-board.info, eturystyka.org and other. They are not present in OpenSiteExplorer. Any ideas why? Why Do Domain Link Metrics Differ in Keyword Difficulty Report vs OpenSiteExplorer

OpenSiteExplorer is not seeing all my inbound links

I know I have back links to my site from about 5 or 6 websites and most of them even show in my Google webmaster account but according to OSE I only have 1 inbound link. Is it normal for the OSE stats to be wrong? I really want to use it but am worried the info isn't going to be accurate.
