Branding exact match keyword domain

We have a keyword domain name that we'd like to show up in Google stores or brand suggestion.
We used this exact keyword domain name for years to sell our products but now want to take it one step further and have the domain name show up in Google suggested brands or stores.
We just filed for a TradeMark in the URL (they have about 57,000 domain names with active trademarks in their database).
How do we get Google to recognize this domain name as either a brand or a store?
Has anybody seen an example of a store or brand with a .com or .net in Google brands or Google stores?
It may be that don't even allow URLs to show.

It's a great question, as many people want to be the recommended brand within Google.
I haven't seen any keyword domains as recommended brands in Google. You'll struggle to achieve this with a keyword matching domain simply because these types of sites don't give off very strong brand signals, which Google uses to list brands.
An example of a brand signal is how other websites link to you. Other site will naturally link to the site with the domain name, as they can't link with a brand. There also won't be significant references/citations over the net. Here is a great list of brand signals to consider (http://www.seobook.com/potential-brand-signals)
If you can replicate a lot of these then you may have a chance, but it will be tough.

This issue is our domain name is a generic keyword like blanket.com or shoes.com
You can't TM blanket but you can TM blanket.com
So when searching on 'blanket' or 'shoes', I'd like blanket.com or shoes.com to show in Google brand or Google store
For example, if you search for sneakers, google provides

I think once you have your domain marked down as a trademark, you can tell Google. For example if a competitor was running adwords and was using your brand name in the ad text, you could email adwords support (or call your account manager if you spend enough) and tell them your competitor is bidding on your brand term and they would look at adding it to there database of words which are trademarked, and thus when your competitor entered it into the adtext it would be declined because of trandmark policy.
Maybe the adwords trandmark db is the same for organic!

No Domain Link In Press Release, What About Yelp?
Hi Moz, I understand that using a PR for SEO benefit is old-school, black hat, and largely outlawed by Google. We are simply trying to get our name pushed further into the local market, i.e., using a press release for it's natural intention. Our company offers free quotes through our site and the scheduling of jobs with new clients is largely done online. I think it seems silly NOT to have a link to our URL in the press release, but rather than poke Google, we're fine omitting it. However, would linking our Yelp near the end be a big deal? Yelp no-follows their URLs back to the company site so there isn't a risk with pumping up a support link through PR and we can provide SOME clickable link to our information. Thoughts?

Marketing for a new alternative solution (general keywords) and for it to show up under specific keyword searches
Hi Moz Community! I've run into a marketing dilemma for one of our customers that we provide SEO and internet marketing services to. Therefore, I need the help of you clever people! The company is a high-tech innovative biotechnology company, so instead of using their product as an example which might be confusing, I will represent the problem with "DVDs" and a new technology similar to Netflix. Customer wants to buy 500 Days of Summer DVD online and isn't aware of the new technology called 'Netflix' where we can stream it online instead of ordering it online. Netflix marketing team wants their website to show up alongside search results so when people search for 'buy 500 Days of Summer DVD', you will see Amazon, blah blah and at some point also see 'Netflix: Stream Instantly Online!' What is the best way to approach this? Micro (macro) site? Can I target 'DVD' and make the microsite use a direct match? Do I have to create a page for every single popular DVD in order for it to effectively rank? Any other clever solutions to this problem? Thanks everyone! Sheldon

Branding/Domain Challenge
A year and a half ago, SEO was all new to me and I may have made a mistake that looks to be a problem now. In a misguided quest to rank higher and faster, I used a domain for it's keywords and quick ranking potential rather than using my business' name URL. I've built the links and authority to where I'm now ranking well for many of my local search terms which is important for my local business success. The situation is that now I want to expand my business nationally as a franchise which will require my company's name in the domain(?), and the addition of entirely new pages and terms. My company's name' URL> www.ImpactMMAfitness.com is pointed to my site www.austinfitnessgyms.com and GA shows a significant # of visitors type our name in to find us. I also think it would be odd for someone outside my town looking for franchise info to be pointed to a different domain with Austin in it. I was wondering what option would be best: Keep as is Change domains - ouch!? Make a new second site ? I have 'ImpactFranchise.com I could use for a new site just for franchising but I would be starting at the bottom for any rankings. Is there a solution, or did I dig myself into a hole?
