90% of our sites that are designed are in wordpress and the report brings up "duplicate" content errors. I presume this is down to a conical error?

We are looking at getting the Agency version of SEOMoz and are based in the UK
Could you please tell me what would be the best way to correct this issue as this appears to be a problem with all our clients websites.
an example would be www.fsgenergy.co.uk
Would you also be able to suggest the best SEO plugin to use with SEOMOz ?
Many thanks Paul

I see this quite a bit on my less content filled wordpress blogs.
If you have categories A and B and one post that fall under both categories crawlers see it like this.
Category A: Post 1
Category B: Post 1
In addition to the permalink for the post. You can get the same problem with tags as well.
So there are multiple ways to see the same posts, which means duplicate posting. Once more content gets added the category pages will look different so that tends to sort itself out over time. Just explaining where it comes from.
I personally like SEO Ultimate but it doesn't quite solve this problem as I still see it on my sites at the beginning. An easy fix would be to change your robots.txt to nofollow all category/tags.

Yeah, I'm not a WP expert at all, but we generally hear good things about Joost's plug-in (http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/). All in One SEO Pack is the other popular one (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/). I think they both serve slightly different niches, and you do have to know how to use them. WordPress can be great, but the default installation can have some SEO issues.

Paul- Best SEO plugin for Wordpress is WP SEO Yoast. hands down the best...provides the xml site map, page analysis , webmaster tools verification, social media connectivity and the list goes on and on. We have tried 5-6 others and keep coming back to this plug in.
Duplicate content errors could be due to a variety of issues.....when you converted to new wordpress is might be content that wasn't linked properly....could be a redirect issue that was created; (if it is a redirect issue you can use a WP plug in called "redirection"). Great tool to manage your 301 and del canonical issues and to identity your 4xx errors. You need to sound the time and identify where the supplicate content is and redirect or eliminate or no follow with robot txt.
Hope this helps...please give me the thumbs up if this answers your question!

Unsolved Using Weglot on wordpress (errors)
Good day to you all, Does anyone have experience of the errors being pulled up by Moz about the utility of the weglot plugin on Wordpress? Moz is pulling up URLs such as: https://www.ibizacc.com/es/chapparal-2/?wg-choose-original=false These are classified under "redirect issues" and 99% of the pages are with the ?wg-choose parameter in the URL. Is this having an actual negative impact on my search or is it something more Moz related being highlighted. Any advice be appreciated and a resolution .. Im thinking I could exclude this parameter.

Moz WordPress Plugin?
WordPress is currently 18% of the Internet. Given its huge footprint, wouldn't it make sense for Moz to develop a WP plugin that can not only report site metrics, but help fix and optimize site structure directly from within the site? Just curious - I can't be the only one who wonders if I'm implementing Moz findings/recommendations correctly given the myriad of WP SEO plugins, authors, implementations.

Excel tips or tricks for duplicate content madness?
Dearest SEO Friends, I'm working on a site that has over 2,400 instances of duplicate content (yikes!). I'm hoping somebody could offer some excel tips or tricks to managing my SEOMoz crawl diagnostics summary data file in a meaningful way, because right now this spreadsheet is not really helpful. Here's a hypothetical situation to describe why: Say we had three columns of duplicate content. The data is displayed thusly: | Column A | Column B | Column C URL A | URL B | URL C | In a perfect world, this is easy to understand. I want URL A to be the canonical. But unfortunately, the way my spreadsheet is populated, this ends up happening: | Column A | Column B | Column C URL A | URL B | URL C URL B | URL A | URL C URL C | URL A | URL B | Essentially all of these URLs would end up being called a canonical, thus rendering the effect of the tag ineffective. On a site with small errors, this has never been a problem, because I can just spot check my steps. But the site I'm working on has thousands of instances, making it really hard to identify or even scale these patterns accurately. This is particularly problematic as some of these URLs are identified as duplicates 50+ times! So my spreadsheet has well over 100K cells!!! Madness!!! Obviously, I can't go through manually. It would take me years to ensure the accuracy, and I'm assuming that's not really a scalable goal. Here's what I would love, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Does anyone know of a formulaic way that Excel could identify row matches and think - "oh! these are all the same rows of data, just mismatched. I'll kill off duplicate rows, so only one truly unique row of data exists for this particular set" ? Or some other work around that could help me with my duplicate content madness? Much appreciated, you Excel Gurus you!

What is the best method to solve duplicate page content?
The issue I am having is an overwhelmingly large number of pages on cafecartel.com show that they have duplicate page content. But when I check the errors on SEOmoz it shows that the duplicate content is from www.cafecartel.com not cafecartel.com. So first of all, does this mean that there are two sites? and is this a problem I can fix easily? (i.e. redirecting the URL and deleting the extra pages) Is this going to make all other SEO useless due to the fact that it shows that nearly every page has duplicate page content? Or am I just completely reading the data wrong?
