Best way to rank an E-commerce site fast? [GOOGLE]
-
Does anyone have experience in ranking E-commerce sites? I'm trying to rank 1000+ subcategorys and 300+ products. All less than 1k Exacts some are just 20ish some go up to 1k. I've used Traffic Travis all keywords are ranked as [Easy] along with the tools here.
My competition have 0 backlinks to there sites. Some sites have PR1-4 (only 2-3 per SERP rest are 0 so should be quite easy.
However I'm up against Amazon and Google shopping for the products.
Anyways what would you guys recommend me do?

As above really. Build links by offering your products to bloggers for product reviews, this is dependent on value of your products, relevant blogs will also drive traffic and sales too.
You also want to make sure you can get most/all of your products in GoogleBase (shopping feed) to maximise your organic visibility, check our Google's Merchant Center.

Beside great content, great domain you will need great links on great sites.
There is no real shortcut. It's not about what you lauch, it's about how people react to what you put.
-
Same thing you do for every site. Make sure it's easily crawlable. Implement a good design. Make sure your page titles lead with your KWs. Create useful content on each page, that is better than the pages you are trying to beat (Amazon).
Trying to "rank fast" isn't always a great option. It may lead you down some paths that will cause your site harm in the future.
After your site is set-up nicely, build some links from the top down (Homepage and Top Level Categories). If the KW difficulty is low, you should be able to rank fairly quick by having a strong domain and an optimized title tag for a page with good content.

Unsolved How Does MOZ Pro Help An E-Commerce Site Gain Rankings?
Added Maximum keywords on Moz Pro - Updated our SERP and optimized metas for all our products on Bookscardsnbikes. We are sorting out bad backlinks - and have google ads + and boosting our seo. And yet - no traffic or customers [minimal] Have been a business for one year. In short: can you take a look at our moz [Site Audit] and explain what we're missing to get our company off of the ground. We are more than okay with criticism - it helps us grow. Our layout and site design is completely fine and what we want. But we think its just a matter of being a new site that we aren't getting the amount of business we COULD have. Is the 200$ a month worth it? What is moz doing to help us grow? Best. Bookscardsnbikes

What's the best way for SEO newbie to analyze & fix a site after being hit by Panda?
Hi, I have a prospective client who was in the top 3 on Google for two of their primary keywords. They fell way back in the rankings immediately after Panda was rolled out on September 27, 2012. Two weeks ago, they were at position #118 for one keyword. After looking for them in Rank Checker today, they cannot be found in Google at all. Here's my question. Because of the "bad links" (some pointing to Porno sites)... what's the possibility that this situation cannot be fixed? I don't know... maybe I'm asking an irrelevant question. I'm attempting to assess the situation so I can go back and present my findings to the prospective client. I'm committed to understanding what's going on with their website so I can assess the situation properly. Fixing their problem starts with a correct assessment. They have a ranking problem, and I know I can fix that... IF all their site needs is white hat SEO. What I DON'T want is... to sell them SEO services, only to find out in 3-6 months... I made an incorrect diagnosis of the problem, and therefore sold them the wrong solution. I know I can close the sale if I can show them with reasonable substantiation that the damage is not beyond repair. I'm familiar with the basics of SEO, but I'm unfamiliar with how "bad linking" might effect the long-term commitment to optimizing. They're wondering if they should start over on another website. I was attempting to do an assessment to better understand if my typical approach on this site would be sufficient. Also... I wanted to get an assessment/report to show them something to substantiate my conclusion(s) about their website. If Open Site Explorer is sufficient to do the link analysis... great. At least I know I'm working with the right tool. All I have to do is learn how to use the tool quickly. At this point... I'm not sure which tool would be helpful. So... can you speak to the following 2 questions: 1.) How do you know when ranking problem is beyond fixing? 2.) What software/tool is ideal for doing some link analysis in order to assess the problem, and prescribe a solution? Thanks so much! Ramon

SEOMOZ Crawling Our Site
Hi there, We get a report from SEOMOZ every week which shows our performance within search. I noticed for our website www.unifor.com.au that it looks through over 10,000 pages, however our website sells less than 500 products so not sure why or how so many pages are trawled? If someone could let me know that would be great. It uses up a lot of bandwidth doing each of these searches so if the amount of pages being trawled reduced it would definitely assist. Thanks, Geoff

How to rank 1000s of subcategories [E-commerce]
Hi guys, I run an eCommerce store that has 1000s of subcategories, yes it's a lot but my niche requires that many. Using Traffic Travis, SEOmoz and other tools I can say that these are Easy/Very Easy to get ranked for. (Sounds good, but it's not that easy) If I'm honest my site has on site SEO done however I don't have unique content on each of the sub categories as it would take to much time, should I spend my time adding unique content to each one? I also need to increase page authority to my inner pages, how can I achieve this? My competitors on each subcategory are linking to there other subcategory should I do the same? I'm just not sure how deep linking works. My niche is printers/ink that's why I need lots of subcategorys however I'm just lost on what to do at the moment and I really need to increase sales! Thanks for reading.

Where is the best place to add links on my site?
If I'd like to put links to other sites in my site, is it better to have a page named "Our Helpful Links" etc. instead of just adding them to the bottom of an existing page like I've seen on some sites? I'm asking because I'm wanting to make Google as happy as possible and still add them. Just in case it helps to look at the site yourself to give advise its; http://www.allstatetransmission.net If you see anything else there that I should work on feel free to be hard on it, I value any criticism. Thanks, Jeff
