Go to GWT and check "link to your site" for ratio that make no-sense. See attached image.Go to GWT and check "link to your site" for ratio that make no-sense, like in this image.
Contact the infected link webmaster and ask him to remove your link, probably from the footer, or for the blogroll (WordPress). Read what to do more at http://www.seomoz.org/q/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=remove+links&x=0&y=0

Hreflang in country specific XML Sitemaps?
Hello! I'm rolling out hreflang tags in my client's "main" XML Sitemap. My question is: do we need to implement these tags in the country level XML Sitemaps also? Thanks!

Why are my Duplicated Pages not being updated?
I've recently changed a bunch of duplicated pages from our site. I did get a slightly minimized amount of duplicated pages, however, some of the pages that I've already fixed are still unfixed according to MOZ. Whenever I check the back-end of each of these pages, I see that they've already been changed and non of them are the same in terms of Meta Tag Title is concern. Can anyone provide any suggestions on what I should do to get a more accurate result? Is there a process that I'm missing?

Do Com Junct links affect your site with Google and Penguin
We received the dreaded letter from google in reference to "unnatural or artificial links" Our site has affiliate programs through Commission Junction and Link Share and between the two programs we have over 8000 affiliates or advertisers. Our site has been very successful, but our organic search traffic is down as our rankings in the search engines have dropped. My question is do the affiliate links have an effect on our site with Panda or Penguin?

Country specific micro-sites or all under the .com domain?
We are working with a new client that works across a number of jurisdictions. Currently they have a number of micro-sites. Each is domained under a relevant domain i.e. .hk for Hong Kong, .ru Russia etc. There is a push to absorb these into their main .com site to make it easier to manage. Given that they want to build a local presence in these areas (including having offices there) and that these site are translated into the local language, what are the SEO implications of such a move?

Business Site Hit Hard from The Penguin Update
Over the last week or so I have been swimming through all the forum posts regarding the latest google penguin update and I am still unclear as to why my site was hit so hard. I have lost 90% of my traffic and my target keywords have disappeared. Maybe I am missing something hear but if you could have a look at my site in question here : http://www.websitetemplatedesign.com/ Is there something that just stands out that I have missed as to why this site would have been hit so hard? Any input would be appreciated.

Best practise for updating software guide
Heya! I write a guide for a specific piece of Internet-based software which is about to undergo a major patch release. No-one's going to be using the old version, so my old-version articles are essentially going to be useless, as are keywords related to the old version number. Given that, I'm intending to update all my guides to be current with the new version. However, obviously I want to keep the Google juice for the old guides, as they rank pretty well. The three options I'm considering: Simply retitle the old guides to the latest version number - "How to use Blue Widget 2.0" becomes "How to use Blue Widget 3.0". Disadvantage - my URLs still include the old version number, 2.0. Write updated guides as seperate articles and 301 redirect the old articles to them. I've done this before with some success. So, I'd 301 the URL for "How to use Blue Widget 2.0" to the url for "How to use Blue Widget 3.0", my new article. Disadvantages - possible loss of link juice? Also, I believe redirects can be kinda tricksy. Just leave both the old and new versions up there, with a link from the old version saying "outdated, check the new version". My belief is that this would be the worst idea. Should I do one of them, or something else? And why?
