Decrease in Organic Traffic
-
We were getting good amount of traffic but suddenly we saw a major drop in traffic we were unable to find the reason, recently our website was attacked by malware we cleaned & applied to Google since then we see our organic traffic Ups & Downs
What is the grace period for the Sites that are affected by Malware for Google to get back our traffic back & increase the organic things
our website www.mdhil.com is healthcare information Based website where the content is created by our experts after the Malware attack there was a major drop & now its up & downs
Is there any chances if the website content comes under low quality content is yes how to find the same

Depending on the pagerank of your site, it should take at most a couple weeks to a couple months before Google re-crawls the entire site and notices that the malware is gone. If it's been longer than that, then likely something else is the cause.
Rankings and traffic fluctuate all the time, so first of all don't panic.
If you think about it, there are only 3 things that can affect your site's rankings: the content on your site, the links to your page, and google's changing algorithm. So ask yourself, has anything on your site changed? Have you lost any links lately, or have your competitors gained more links? Has there been an algorithm change that affected your site?
If it's an onsite issue, then fix the issue and focus on building more good content. If the issue is links or an algo change, focus on building more links.

Hi Alan
We have asked for reconsideration and even webmaster Tools doesn't show any malware notifications This incident happened on March since then the traffic is ups & downs we are unable to get back where we are
-
If you have removed the malware, ask for reconsideration and wait, there is no reason why you will not get bnack to where you were

My traffic keeps going down...
My website been through many changes the last 5 months. From migrating http to https, server transfer and more. Everything was double checked all the redirects are perfect (301) to the https pages (we have like 28K backlinks so everything needs to be correct), in a matter of fact the migration to ssl made in October and in November the stats went high. The problem is that at the end of November after the server migration the traffic went down and is stably down till today. We re-checked the redirects in every aspect and more in depth and finished fixing issues around end of January. Also before 1 week we stopped the functionality of a parameter (product sort) and removed it from the website entirelly and canonicaled the urls that were using it so if google tries to test those urls with the parameter to see a canonical tag and eventually drop them out of index and stop crawling them. Generally we tried to fix the crawling efficiency and speed. The technical SEO was on fire the last weeks. Still i cant see improvement in rankings, i only see drops. What is the problem here? Where should i look? Any ideas? In webmaster tools we have no 404's and no manual actions. The visibility in Sistrix goes down (check attachment), the ahrefs organic traffic goes down, semrush stats go down... My website is: https://www.pccdkeys.com ecfp87

How to track my actual traffic source using Google Analytics which are now showing as referral traffic?
Hi Mozzers, I went through many Q&As in the community this morning. I found a solution where I could just remove the referral site in analytics>admin>property>tracking info>referral exclusion list. So I removed paypal.com which was the main referral traffic. I thought the problem is solved. Later today I got another order, now the referral traffic is from eway.com, now what? Yes I know I will add this to the exclusion list but there will be many more referral sites. My main concern is I am not able to track the actual traffic source. How do I do that? 1. Do I need to use google url tracking for all my pages?
Technical SEO | | DebashishB
2. Do I need to add tracking code in each page of the site?
3. Is there a way to track the actual source of this traffic, now that the transaction is already made but reflects as referral traffic in Google Analytics? jZjTN0 -

Hamburger nav causing drop in organic traffic?
This may sound crazy but is it possible a hamburger nav used on a desktop responsive site could lead to a drop in organic traffic? Our hamburger nav requires between 3-4 clicks to arrive on a subpage. Here's an example of necessary clicks for a given page: click hamburger menu2) resorts (expands resorts nav) city (expands various cities where our resorts are located) actual resort (this opens up resort menu) resort overview (first clickable link) Is there any way we're getting penalized for excessive number of clicks? All our old pages were 301 redirected and content is relatively the same on the new redesigned website. Thanks

Self proclaimed 5 stars showing in organic search??
Hi there - I've just come across this site that has ratings showing in the organic listings, yet - I can't see any ratings for it online - other than a text listing on the site's own home page? The site in question has a facebook page with no followers, and a twitter account with the same, no google plus account, no google local maps listing. I've only ever seen "actual" google reviews and other citations being combined, averaged - then shown in search as an aggregated number. Is it just me - or does Google accept these self rated reviews on face value??!! See images attached... The URL of the site is here: http://www.home-securitysystems.com.au The search phrase they rank no.1 for is "Alarm System Melbourne" - which is pretty decent. Any ideas? Cheers, Dave oi86 oi8o

Drop in Domain Authority and MozTrust -> -20% in traffic?
Hello Everybody,
Technical SEO | | uMoR
with the latest seomoz index update for OSE my website had a big drop in Domain Authority and MozTrust and at the same time a drop in SEO traffic. It seems to be a correlation between the drop in the Seomoz metric and SEO traffic, infact from the 9th of August we lost the 20% of traffic (the 2nd of august our DA and MT was normal, the 15th Seomoz show the drop). Unfortunately it seems that this trend is valid only for my website and not because of a Seomoz index error: my competitor still have the same DA and MT. I will check for sure if, with the next index update, there will be some change in DA or MT, anyway which are your suggestion? How can I know what has happened to my link profile and the cause of this big change? Advice are welcome!0 -

My organic search results are down 16% since the Penguin update 4/24
Penguin has affected my search results down 16% When I look at my SEOmoz scan the only problem I see is "too many on page links" The problem is that my blog for each month is considered one page-eg august 2007 I wrote many blogs-the total on page links was 106-but that included all the blogs that were written in a month. The other problem area is duplicate content. I thought Penguin was after "link farming" which I do not do. Any advice how I can correct this? Brooke
