My Old Domain is Not Changing in Google

I have taken over the following domain www.choice-cottages.co.uk, part of the contract was to re-direct the old site www.choicecottages.info to the new site. Unfortunately I am only a middle man in the arrangement as the website is hosted with another company. The switch was done well over 4 weeks ago, the re-direct itself is working fine.
However if you google choice cottages you will see the first listing is www.choicecottages.info, then I have my new site below for a few listings.
Google is definitely updating something as before the old domain had lots of site links but this has reduced to a few.
Does anyone know anything on this, as in the past it only takes a couple of days to update.

Does the Google account you are using have sufficient permissions?
When you log into WMT and you see the site, look at the box to the right which says Manage Site. If the only option is to "delete site" then you do not have sufficient permissions.
Redirecting your site with a 301 is the proper action to take. The results you are seeing are normal. Google is slowly crawling your site over time and seeing the redirect on your site's pages and making adjustments. Usually 4 weeks is enough time to see all the changes but there are various reasons it could take longer. Perhaps your site had a momentary problem during a crawl. Perhaps your robots.txt file changed.
Perform a site: search. As long as the number of URLs on the old site are decreasing steadily, I would not be worried.

I didn't actually do the 301 re-directs which is why I am worried, this was done by the other company, is there a way of checking?
I just run the domain through site explorer and got the message:
Oh Hey! It looks like that URL redirects to www.choice-cottages.co.uk. Would you like to see data for <a class="clickable redirects">that URL instead</a>?
So I am guessing I am ok, but 4 weeks seems like a long time.

Did you use 301 redirect from your old site to your new site?
Coz if you did, then Google will take some time, not just a couple of days, to discover the 301, recognize it, and credit the new page with the rankings and trust of its old page.

ok I may of missed a trick here, I have re-submitted both sites to webmaster tools. I had assumed that re-submitting the old site Google would see the re-direct and remove the old site. After your post done a quick bit or research and see that I should notify google of the change. I have clicked on change of address and I get.

There is no change of address pending for your site.It doesn't give me the option to notify them, any suggestions?Many thanksAndy

Google Not Picking Up Posts
I am trying to work out why from March 4th Google is not seeing my posts. Our google impressions have dropped from 8,000 to 40. If you put in the full article name with speach marks it does not find it, and instead shows the home page in google. We have not had any warnings. Redirecting old domain to new domain with wordpress
Hi all, I need to change domain name to a website published on wordpress. I'd think to make these steps: trasferring the website (files+db) to a new hosting space to redirect old site (www.oldsite.com) to the new one (www.newsite.com) using rewrite rules. With these steps I'd need to transfer and reinstall files and wordpress so I would like to discover if there's some less time expending procedure to consider. Thanks and ciao Bob

I usually have Google analytics "real-time" running on one of my monitors, occasionally I glance at the screen to see that are TOP KEYWORDS people are using, lately there have been a lot of long-tail keywords. If I try to copy and paste the queries into google, i can never seem to find us organically for the long-tail searches? Is the real-time feature accurate? Thank you!

Domain redirect
Recently we launched a site under a new domain, the site is doing well under the URL. Client calls me today and would like to have another domain he owns point to the new site. The domain he has has no history and no content. He is under the impression that people are looking for him by typing in www.domainxyz.com. I attempted to explain otherwise to him, but I lost. Change of domain name?
Hello, We are currently developing a new site for an existing online clothing retailer. The existing site is on a .co.uk domain, however we are targeting a global market and wondered whether we could/should launch the new site under a .com address and whether this would be beneficial? Using hyphenated sub-domains or non-hyphenated sub-domains? What is the question! I Any takers?
For our corporate business level domain, we are exploring using a hyphenated sub-domain foir a project. Something like www.go-figure.extreme.com I thought from a user perspective it seems cluttered. The domain length might also be an issue with the new Algorithm big G has launched in recent past. I know with past experience, hyphenated domains usually take longer to index, as they are used by spammers more frequently and can take longer to get out of the supplementary index. Our company site has over 90 million viewers / year, so our brand is well established and traffic isn't an issue. This is for a corporate level project and I didn't have the answer! Why Google did not index our domain?
Hi, We launched tmart 60 days ago and submitted to google, bing, yahoo 20 days later. But google had never indexed our website still when yahoo indexed it in one week. did not find any problems from domain archive pages. 3. Page similar: the homepage is 50% similar to one of our competitors when we just launched.
So we adjusted the page structure and modified the content one month later and decreased the similarity to 30% (by tools from webconfs.com) 4. Google Robots: googlebot crawled our website every day after we submitted for indexing.
We opened GWT account for it and added the xml sitemap last week. GWT said nothing
