How to track sub-directories as separate sites
-
I am tracking a blog for a client thats hosted on a subdomain, we decided to give it it's own SEOMoz campaign. My issue is that when entering competitors, if the competing blog is using a sub-directory, SEO Moz won't let me enter it, only the domain. I would assume that there has to be a way to do this, but I don't see it. I need to be able to track the competing blogs as separate from their root domain.
mysite: blog.mysite.com
their site: theirsite.com/blog (very different from just theirsite.com)
Hopefully someone can tell me what to do here because the metrics are basically useless if I am forced to use only the domain.
Thanks so much!

Hi There,
Thanks for writing in.
Unfortunately, we aren't currently able to track subfolders for competitors just yet, only subdomains. We are working on changing this in the future, but I don't have an ETA for when that capability will be rolled out and I'm afraid it may be a while. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience this causes.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

How Long Do The Link Tracking Lists Take To Update?
Hi, How long do the link tracking lists take to update? It's been over a week and each is still showing a red cross. The reason I created it was because I migrated to a new domain name and Moz is still showing the backlinks on the old property and not the new (the domain swap happened in December 2020). I can see that Ahrefs has picked up all of the links - Both new and redirected - but Moz has not. When will this be reflected in Moz as it has already been over three months? Is there a reason for the above questions? I appreciate any response here. 🙂

Site Explorer - No Data Available for this URL
Hi All I have just joined on the trial offer, im not sure if i can afford the monthly payments, but im hoping SEOmoz will show me that i also cannot afford to be without it! In my proses of learning this site and flicking through each section to see what things do. However when i enter my URL into Site Explorer i get the following message "No Data Available for this URL" My site should be crawl-able, so how do i get to see data for my site/s. I wont post my URL here, as the site has a slightly adult theme.

Domains and sub domains - newbie
Hi Recently set up my SEOM MOZ account so any help would be great! On the competitive domain analysis page the sub domain metrics appear as good (if not better) then the domain. The Moz rank and trust are better on the sub domain. I know the website copy is appearing on both non-www and also www (which I assume is being referred to as the subdomain) on the competitor domain analysis page). Should I now 301 the WWW site to the non-www.... which will then concentrate the SEO and SEOMoz then will only have the root domain metrics appearing? Many thanks for your help in advance!

Factoring in OBL to Open Site Explorer
Morning all - I've been using Open Site Explorer a fair bit since I signed up to SEOMoz a couple of months ago and found it to be a little different to other tools in the past, so would welcome some thoughts on what I should be looking for when I run reports. For example, I've always thought that Outbound links should be important when deciding whether to place a link on a a particular site, but in OSE I'm only given a Page Ranking and a Domain Ranking. Am I therefore to understand that these two factors outrank OBL and that the number of links on a page don't matter? Or have these been factored into the overall Page rank already? Thanks a lot for your help,
